Well that's it folks, from game no. 1 of SUPER SATURDAY! A huge victory for Sunrisers Hyderabad over the Chennai Super Kings! Time for us to focus our attentional on the upcoming clash between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore! I am Anirudh, signing off in behalf of my co-commentator Arya! See you at the next one!
Arya: A thoroughly professional run-chase in the end from the Sunrisers Hyderabad as they register their maiden win of this season. It was always going to be a tricky run chase as the surface wasn’t the easiest to bat on. The ball stopped on the surface quite a bit but the young opener Abhishek Sharma had other ideas. While his skipper Kane Williamson took some time to get into his groove, Abhishek Sharma batted brilliantly right from the outset.

Kane Williamson struggled a bit early on as batting was quite difficult on the surface. However Abhishek Sharma never looked in trouble and played some delightful shots. SRH stuck with him at the top of the order and he finally repaid the faith shown by the team management. An opening partnership of 89 runs laid the foundation for the run-chase. Williamson was dismissed by Mukesh Chaudhary but the foundation was laid.

Rahul Tripathi came out as if he was batting for hours and smoked a six in his second ball and what followed next was carnage. Tripathi took the onus on himself to find the boundaries and played some delightful shots during his unbeaten knock of 39 of 15 deliveries which included 5 fours and a couple of sixes. Abhishek Sharma was eventually dismissed on 75 but by then the match was done and dusted. Tripathi struck the winnings runs in the 18th over to take SRH over the line.

Rahul Tripathi: "Not exactly, I think the skipper and opener gave us a great start, it was important to spend some time on the wicket and they gave me a platform to just go out to hit the ball. It was important for me and the team as well to go out and express ourselves, the win was very important for us. Abhishek played tremendously well, he took the bowling on and kept the run rate up. This win is very important and this tournament is very competitive, so if you play well, you feel well."
Ravindra Jadeja | CSK Captain: "I think it's with both that I'm more disappointed about. We didn't get that start and we fell 20-25 runs short. With 155 anything can happen, still our bowlers tried to look for wickets and bowl in the good areas. Tomorrow might be a day off but we still look to improve both departments and we'll sit down to have a chat about it too. We are all professional cricketers, we need to work hard, stick together and come back stronger."
Arya: This has been a commanding run chase from the Sunrisers Hyderabad as they romp home by 8 wickets and with 14 deliveries to spare to register their first win of the competition.
17.4 D Bravo to R Tripathi
4 And that seals the game for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. An attempted yorker goes wrong, a low full toss on the leg stump and Tripathi clips it away down the long leg region and finds the boundary. An incredible little cameo from Rahul Tripathi.
17.3 D Bravo to N Pooran
1 A slower delivery this time. Fractionally fuller outside off and Pooran uses his deft touch to steer that down the short third man fielder for a single.
17.3 D Bravo to N Pooran
WD Bravo throws it wide outside the off-stump and again a bit far away from the tramline and he has to reload that.
17.2 D Bravo to N Pooran
4 Pooran gets off the mark with a boundary. Opens the face of the bat at the last moment to steer this good-length delivery just outside off well past the short third man fielder for a boundary. He played that on purpose by opening the bat face.

17.1 D Bravo to A Sharma
W A brilliant knock from Abhishek Sharma comes to an end. He tried to finish the match quickly for his team but perishes in the process. This has been a sensational knock from the youngster. Was a slower fuller-length delivery well outside the off-stump. Abhishek Sharma had to reach out for that, throws his bat at that well awa from the body and ends up slicing that up in the air and it carries all the way to Chris Jordan who was stationed at wide long-off.
17.1 D Bravo to A Sharma
WD A wide to start the over. Bravo goes for the wide yorker outside off but misses the tramline. Outside the tramline and he has to reload that.
