We will meet you next week again for yet another County Championship match until then this is Shashank Surly signing off with my fellow commentators Tugral Azmi, Nikhil, and Ajay Ahire along with our scorer Yogesh. Goodnight and Goodbye.
That brings us to the end of another interestingly contested County Championship match between Sussex and Durham at Hove. Durham will be happy with this courageous performance as they had to fight hard and show great character after dismal first innings. Sussex, on the other hand, dominated this game for the most part of it and will be disappointed to not get a win at home.

This result means that both teams are still winless this season and will be hunting for their first win next week as Sussex hosts dominant Middlesex at Hove, who are on a recent high and we will also get to see Mohammad Rizwan taking on his friend Shaheen Afridi. Durham though will have to travel to New Road to play against a very tough Worcestershire side.
Shashank: That is it then, the game is over here at Howe, the game ends in a draw as the players shake hands with each other. Durham started the day at 169/0 and their opener Sean Dickson and Alex Lees were looking in superb touch and weren't giving any chances to the Sussex bowling attack to take wickets, Sean Dickson went past his 150 in the first session and Alex Lees got a life when he was on 67 as Mason Crane dropped a dolly at fine leg, Lees made full use of his life as he went on to make a well-earned hundred.

Both batters were batting well on hundreds and took the partnership over 300. They were looking great to break Durham's highest opening partnership in championships, 314 by Kyle Coetzer and Michael di Venuto in 2009 against Nottinghamshire. But then Mason Crane broke the partnership at 313 as he finally redeemed himself by getting Alex Lees, who on 105 swept a juicy low full-toss delivery straight to Tom Alsop at deep midwicket. Mason Crane struck twice in the same over as he got rid of Sean Dickson for 186 who edged a short and wide delivery to Mohammad Rizwan behind the stumps, Durham were 2 down for 314. Keegan Petersen and skipper Scott Borthwick were batting out time and the game was heading towards a draw, rain gods made it imminent by pouring on top of Hove for almost an hour.

Both teams came out for the final session to play out to complete the formality, Delray Rawlins finally got his first scalp of the game as he got rid of Durham's skipper through a stunning acrobatic catch by Mohammad Rizwan at first slip. David Beddingham and Keegan Petersen were just playing out the overs left and Sussex players were having fun as Mohammad Rizwan and Tom Alsop got a chance to roll their arms over. Durham declared the innings at 364/3 after batting 113 overs and Sussex were quite happy with the decision and didn't want to bat again as they had to settle for a draw in the end.
