Leicestershire won the game comfortably. It was a difficult wicket to bat on. So, it was a good toss to win for Leicestershire. Durham batsmen just couldn’t adapt to the dry pitch as wickets fell quite frequently. They ended up being all out on 106 losing by 51 runs. Pick of the bowlers was Ryan Ahmed taking 4 wickets as he bowled smart leg-spin including rightly directed googlies. Spin bowling did the trick for Leicestershire

Leicestershire couldn’t make the most of the toss won as they batted first. They lost their first wicket on the very first ball as there was a mix-up in running and ending up in a run-out  With Rishi Patel gave them an early momentum through good attacking shots and then good innings as well from Welch and Mulder. The Foxes were in trouble with the wickets falling at regular intervals. But some cameos and good innings ensured that the Leicestershire bowlers had a respectable score to defend. With a good finish by Mulder, the Foxes posted 157  on the scoreboard.

Although it was a fine bowling effort from the Durham team with Andrew Tye showing his class smartly, including slower ones and taking 5 wickets. The spinners also bowled well to restrict the Foxes to a below par score.

As the Durham batsmen failed despite their good bowling, Leicestershire just won with a cakewalk in the second innings cleaning their batting line up.

Colin Ackerman (Winning Captain): "Boys did well as 150 plus was a good game, we played well spin today which was tough for us in the previous game, Rehan is a little wizard, he backs himself to bowl at anytime of the game. Callum is also a great servant for us as he is a consistent performer in all three formats."

Ashton Turner (Losing Captain): "We played nicely, but credits to them to reach to that total. We need to be playing better cricket than that to win cricket games. AJ Tye is a world-class player, he is a lethal wicket taker and a great addition to our team."

Wiann Mulder (Player of the Match): "Nice to contribute to the teams win today. I tried to take the game deep and take on the bowlers and cross the 150 mark and had belief that our bowlers can do the job done. This is just a stepping stone for us to keep doing well and try to make it to the next round."

W GONEE!!! ITS ALL OVER!! Callum drops it short but was flat and quick for Sowter who was well down the track and fails to get bat on ball and gets beaten by all ends and Harry Swindells with the day he is having behind the poles wasn't messing this one as he collected the ball easily and whips it quickly to give his side a comfortable win.
