Starting with the first innings of the match where Hampshire started batting after losing the toss and both the openers took a lot of time to set on the crease. The captain, Gubbins scored 38 runs off 70 balls with the help of 5 fours. On the other end, the wicket-keeper batsman Brown scored 60 runs out of 83 balls with the help of six fours. The first down batsman Tom Prest scored 55 runs off 63 balls with the help of three fours and two sixes. Then came Donald who scored a very fast 76 runs on only 31 balls with the help of 5 fours and 6 sixes on a strike rate of 245. Then came Albert and Middleton who is code respective of 23 and 18 runs. Then there was a turn of bowlers to bat and Organ, Holland, Curie, Turner, and Cambell scored 3, 15, 6, 1, and 1 runs respectively. After all this Hampshire posted a total of 313 on the loss of nine wickets. 
Talking about the bowling side of Yorkshire the bowler Matthew Waite took one wicket, Tom Loten got one wicket, Matthew Revis got four wickets, Dom Bass got two wickets, and Ben Coar and Jack Shutt remained wicketless.

Coming on to the second innings the openers Will Fraine and Harry Duke failed to give a good start to Yorkshire. They both departed after scoring 5 and 8 runs respectively. Then came the first down batsman Bean who scored 10 runs of the 14 balls he faced with the help of 2 fours. The second down batsman George Hill went back to the pavilion without even scoring a single run. Then came the wicketkeeper-batsman, Jonathan who scored 25 runs of the 25 balls he faced with the help of 5 fours. The top order failed to give a good start but the middle and lower order managed to score some good runs for the Yorkshire team. Matthew Waite who came in next scored 37 runs off 28 balls faced with the help of 4 fours and 2 sixes. Then came in the next batsman Matthew Ravis who scored 44 runs after facing 57 balls with the help of 5 fours. The next batsman Dominic Bess was declared retired hurt after he faced 48 balls and scored 27 runs. Tom Loten remained not out after scoring 43 runs from the 42 balls he faced with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes. Ben Coad scores 24 runs off 24 balls with the help of 3 fours. The two lower-order batsmen Harris Sullivan and Jack Shutt scored 1 run each.

W CAUGHT BEHIND!! Banged in short, on the stumps, Shutt tries to pull this away but gets the top edge and the keeper runs towards the ball and completes a comfortable catch!! Yorkshire have bundled out for 241!! John Andrew Turner gets his 5th scalp!! What a fantastic win for Hampshire.
