Yes, we have done and dusted with the Hundred tournament. Trent Rockets are the champions in the Men's section while Oval Invincibles did it twice in two seasons as they defend their title in the Women's section!

This is your guy, AkshayaKrishna Polya, is signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Arijit Kundu, who, alongside our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer brought you all the live actions from this fascinating grand finale. We will meet you again in the next match! Until then, it is a goodbye from us!
OVAL INVINCIBLES WOMEN AND TRENT ROCKETS MEN lift the trophy at the same time.
WINNERS OF THE MEN'S HUNDRED 2022: TRENT ROCKETS!!

Cheers as the group lift the trophy at the podium and the flakes mixed in smoke upthrusts around.
Dawid Malan: "Winning is more important than all the runs I scored. It worked well for us this year, we got our combinations right. Today was a really tricky wicket, happy to get through. Unbelievable crowd, the atmosphere was brilliant. It's a great feeling to win a tournament at the Lord's."
Alex Hales: Exhausted with all the running around. The win feels really special It was really nerve-breaking, especially for watching because there's nothing we can do. (On Dawid Malan) He's been outstanding, the tone he set for the rest of the tournament was amazing. Real joy to bat with him.
Lewis Gregory (Trent Rockets captain): "Yeah, it was really a good feeling. Great to take the team past the finishing line. Yeah obviously we needed some boundaries, and luckily got it off the middle of the bat. In the second half, Manchester was amazing, to get out there after losing three matches initially is incredible. Sam has been outstanding, Samit, Alex yes all have been incredible.

I think both the teams bowled brilliantly, it was tricky but we managed to sneak over. To win a final here is amazing, the crowd has been amazing here, and we are gonna lift that trophy for the fans."
Sam Cook(Player of the Match): "Its a brilliant feeling, such an amazing feeling, and such a brilliant tournament. Winning it means icing on the cake. It was already a good win with the batters contributing at the tail end of the tournament as well.

Yeah, I have played T20 cricket here before as well. Tried to nail the yorkers as well. We planned well and got it accordingly. We had an amazing atmosphere. Its really really special actually.

Flower, yes he's an absolutely incredible coach. He has driven us up and yes we are here. Thank you."
Time for the presentation ceremony...
2:12 AM IST: We can see the Trent Rockets players, getting up at the podium and getting ready for the presentation ceremony.
Akshaya: 2:08 AM IST | What a game of cricket we have just witnessed! How close were Manchester Originals to the finishing line, only for Richard Gleeson to spoil it as he came under pressure in the last set!

Trent Rockets win the second edition's Hundred as they beat Manchester Originals by two wickets in a thriller!

Earlier, Manchester Originals won the toss and decided to bat in the all-important final. The decision backfired on them as the Originals lost three wickets within the powerplay. It was Samuel Cook, who decimated the batting lineup with his brilliant stuffs.

Tristan Stubbs and Ashton Turner stitched a 35-run stand for the fourth wicket. But, once Samit Patel was introduced into the attack, he changed the complexion of the match with his accurate left-arm spinners. Wickets started to fall like autumn leaves and the Manchester-based franchise crawled their way through to 120/9 in their allotted 100 balls. Thanks to Tom Lammonby and Tom Hartley as the duo added a few important runs at the fag end of the innings.

For Trent Rockets, Samuel Cook (20-11-18-4) and Samit Patel (15-5-23-3) were the main wicket takers while Luke Wood and Daniel Sams scalped a wicket each.

Chasing an average total on a sticky wicket, Trent Rockets too lost their way as Alex Hales holed out at short extra covers off Joshua Little in the powerplay. Dawid Malan struggled during his stay at the crease while Tom Kohler-Cadmore scored run-a-ball 18.

The Originals bowlers kept the pressure and slowly picked the wickets of the middle order as the likes of Colin Munro, Daniel Sames, and Tom Moores succumbed under pressure but before getting out all three played tiny cameos, helping the side get closer to the finishing line.

The Rockets needed 11 off the final set bowled by Richard Gleeson and thankfully for the chasing side it was their skipper on strike. Lewis Gregory smoked a six and a four off the first two balls to level the scores. In the third delivery, Gregory found the gap through extra covers to make his team lift the silverware! Trent crossed the finishing line with a couple of deliveries and a couple of wickets remaining as the Hundred witnesses a new champion!

For the Manchester-based franchise, Joshua Little, Matthew Parkinson, Paul Walter and Tom Hartley scalped two wickets but the one who bowled (Richard Gleeson) the final set couldn't defend 11 runs, ending a wonderful journey with a tag of runners-up!

Wait for the presentations which will come up in a short while!
Jack: Myan!! My prediction went wrong!!🥲 But congrats to Trent Rockets, they deserved it.
98b R Gleeson to L Gregory
1 Lewis Gregory does the job in just three deliveries! What a game of cricket it was? How fitting it is to the Trent Rockets skipper to finish the game for his side. A fuller-length delivery on the middle stump line. Almost a yorker. Gregory opens his front leg and slams it through the extra covers region for a single! Trent Rockets hold their nerves to clinch a cliffhanger by two wickets. They win the second edition's Hundred competition!!!
97b R Gleeson to L Gregory
4 FOURRR!! A fulltoss delivery at the leg peg and the batter has opened the front leg and just brooms this towards the deep square leg region for a boundary. The bowler just overcooked the yorker here and Gregory whacks this one to find the boundary ropes. The fielder there was way too squared and therefore missed out on it. 1 needed of the last 3 balls and don't seem that Originals are gonna pull this off.
Arijit: Man o Man!! Gregory has chose the sky way.
96b R Gleeson to L Gregory
6 SIXXX!!! Richard Gleeson with the final set of five and starts from over the wicket. Fuller length delivery on to the middle and leg stump line. Gregory clears his front leg and flicks it right from the middle of the bat and clears the deep mid-wicket fence for a biggie! What a moment in the game!
11 needed off the last set! Richard Gleeson with the final set of this edition's Hundred! What a game!

2 Bangs in short this time and the batter mistimes the pull towards the mid wicket region for a double this time. Gregory will be on strike and the captain will be looking to lead from the front. 11 needed from 5 and we going down the wire. 😍

1 Half-Cuts this one towards the point region for a single this time. This one goes through towards the deep.
