10.00 PM IST| That concludes our live coverage of this match. This is Tugral Azmi signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ovaise Shariff and Nikhil Kalla and our scorer Bishal. See you soon in the next one, till then a very goodnight.
Tugral: The hosts has brought this game from the jaws of defeats by this Northamptonshire side which had a tight grip on this game for the majority of the match. Hampshire won the match by 11 runs. Northamptonshire would be utterly disappointed with their batting performance and that is where they lost the game despite a fighting effort with the ball.

Hampshire won the toss and decided to bat but could not bat very well due to which only one lowest target could be put on the board. By the time the Northamptonshire openers came out to chase, the ball was getting stuck in the pitch. Because of this, it was not so easy to chase this target. Ricardo Vasconcelos lost his wicket early in the second ball of the first over. Will Young (14 off 14) seized control of the innings and started scoring a few runs quickly, but Scott Currie got him before he could extend his innings. But a fantastic 52-run partnership between Emilio Gay and Rob Keogh vindicated any doubts as Northamptonshire cruised to 77/2 at the end of the first 10 overs.

Barker provided Northamptonshire another breakthrough and he uprooted Emilio Gay (23 off 31) stumps. Miller joined Keogh in the middle and steered the innings steadily after Gay was dismissed. Miller looked in good touch today. He scored 31 runs off 34 deliveries. Both stitched a partnership of 56 runs off 68 deliveries. In the end, Keogh got the support of James Sales, and both tried to change the course of the match but failed. Keogh played an innings of 74 runs, but the fall of wickets from the other side continued, due to which under pressure he also became a victim of Scott. Northamptonshire needed 23 runs to win when Keogh was dismissed, but Hampshire came back into the game in a better way and dealt with the tail-enders quickly. Dusted off Northamptonshire in a low-scoring encounter.

However, from the bowling side, after Hampshire got the first breakthrough, they did not give the Northamptonshire team any chance to return to the match. Jack Campbell was an effective and impactful bowler throughout the innings. He was the pick of the bowlers for Hampshire as he took three wickets and gave away 17 runs in his 9 overs. Scott Currie took three wickets in his 10 overs. Keith Barker took a couple of wickets. Gubbins and Turner took one wicket each. Hampshire showed a great performance with bat and ball, whose reward they got at the end of the match.
40.2 Turner to J White
W Back of a length, on the leg stump, White pulls but misshits it straight up in the air and gone!! Northamptonshire have collapsed and lost the game by 12 runs! What a dramatic comeback this has been..

Tugral: "What an astonishing turn around here by the home side as they are staring eyeball to eyeball with the visitors in a low-scoring affair. Northamptonshire needs 12 runs to win and Hampshire just needs one wicket to win."
39.6 J Campbell to Russell
0 Fuller delivery and wide of off, Russell leans forward and drives it towards the point region. He finds a man at the point. A dot ball to end the over.
39.5 J Campbell to Russell
0 Back of a length delivery on the off, Russell defends it towards the off side.
39.4 J Campbell to Russell
0 Back of a length delivery on the leg stump line, Russell goes on the back foot and defends it down the pitch.

39.3 J Campbell to J Sales
W BOWLED' EM! Campbell cleans up James with beauty. Length delivery, outside off. James tries to drive it off the back foot towards the off side but misses it completely on this occasion and the ball rattles the woods after sneaking in the gap between bat and pad. Northamptonshire needed 12 runs to win and only one wicket in hand.
39.2 J Campbell to J Sales
0 Length delivery and shaping away from the batter, James tries to drive it through the cover but doesn't make any contact.
39.1 J Campbell to J Sales
0 Length delivery and shaping away from the batter, James defends it comfortably off the front foot.

4 FOUR MORE! A NICE WAY TO END THE OVER! Fuller delivery and a tad outside off. Jack leans forward and goes over extra cover and away it goes for a boundary. Lovely shot as it's the second boundary of the over.
38.5 K Barker to J White
0 Drifting on the pads, Jack tries to flick but fails to connect and gets hit on the pads. A loud appeal for LBW but the umpire was not satisfied.
