Player Bio

Hailing from Kendal, Curtley-Jack White is right-arm seamer who plays professional cricket for Northamptonshire. Originally from the Lake District, White appeared on the selector’s radar while playing grade cricket for Australia.

Kendal-born White attracted the county's attention with 59 wickets across 31 outings for Parramatta District in New South Wales grade cricket in 2017-18 leading them to the prestigious title after 53 years. After his exploits in Australia, the 29-year old initially moved to the Wantage Road prior to the 2019 season, but injury prevented him from showcasing his skills.

White was handed his first-class debut cap in a Bob Willis Trophy. He made his debut against Warwickshire on August 1st, 2020 and made an immediate impact. He finished the 2020 season with 13 scalps in 4 matches including eight in one game against Glamorgan. He made up for the lost time and was rewarded with a contract extension which will see him at the club till the end of 2022.

The pacer made his List A debut a year later in the Royal London Cup fixture against Yorkshire. He struck 3 wickets for 38  on his debut and immediately cemented his place in the limited-overs format. With more than a year left on his contract, White seems to be fit and firing for his Club and hopes to fulfil the role presented to him.
