That's it from yet another fixture from the Women's Hundred competition. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Shashank and scorer/analyst Chandan Kumar Singh. Stay tuned for more cricket coverage from across the globe. Take care, good night.
Tammy Beaumont (Welsh Fire skipper): "I am incredibly relived. That was a proper team performance, it was not an easy wicket to bat on. Once we got a few dots I thought we have lost from this situation but the bowlers Sutherland and Carey at the back end did really well. The ball stayed a bit low so any cross batted stroke was not a good idea but the way Carey played those couple of strokes I was just amazed. Very happy the way we bowled and the girls at the back end were amazing. We were hanging in the game quite nicely. We have lost games from similar situations while chasing. We tried to get a wicket somehow and we did it nicely.  The ball skids here so much so it feels hard to hit over mid off. Nic Carey is brilliant in bowling at death and she executed brilliantly. I'm really lucky that our three overseas players are doing really great. I thought people might not come out as we haven't won many games but it was quite emotional looking at the crowd and the way they speak to us inspiring us. This win was for the fans today."
Nicola Carey (Hero of the match): "It's been a tough first few games, great performance in front of the home crowd, it's a great feeling. The pitch was tricky to bat on, half way through our batting coach said it's a good total, our bowlers did really well out there.

We didn't want to leave the wickets there, kept rolling our fingers on the ball and the pitch did the rest. The message was clear, attack the stumps and don't try too much, it's a funny game the 100 balls go very quickly, happy to be on  the winning side in the end."
We have witnessed a thriller here at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff. A terrific comeback performance with the ball from Welsh Fire have prompted them to get their first victory of the season despite getting out of the playoffs race.

Chasing a challenging total of 124 spin continued to dominate in the second innings as well as the Welsh Fire got rewards for opening the bowling with Claire Nicholas who picked up 2 early wickets accounting for the dangerous Alyssa Healy and Bess Heath as the Northern Superchargers added 31 runs for the loss of two in the powerplay.

Opener Laura Wolvaardt played cautiously and did the rebuilding role with skipper Hollie Armitage playing the aggressor. Both Armitage and Wolvaardt played some delightful strokes as the latter matched her skipper stroke to stroke as the duo brought up the team's total to three figures in just 82 balls, taking them closer to victory.

The game changing moment was Laura Wolvaardt's dismissal when Nicola Carey got her out with the Superchargers still needing 22 off 16 deliveries. The game could have gone anywhere from that stage but Annabel Sutherland then struck quickly and got rid of Heather Graham for just 2 runs. Superchargers needed 19 to win off 10.

Nicola Carey then struck twice in her final set pushing back the Superchargers out of the contest. With 15 needed off the final five balls, Annabel Sutherland bowled couple of dots and conceded just three singles to close out the first victory for the Welsh Fire in the season!

100b A Sutherland to J Gunn
1 A pinpoint yorker to end the day, Gunn squeezes it towards cover region and takes a single, but the Welsh Fire have held their nerves and have escaped a heist here at Cardiff to take their first victory of this campaign. Contrasting scenes here, Superchargers drop their heads in despair as the Welsh side celebrate the taste of their first win.
99b A Sutherland to L Smith
1 Slower ball by Sutherland from around the wicket, back of a length, and around off, Smith cuts it towards point and takes a single.
98b A Sutherland to J Gunn
1 Sensational yorker at the leg pole, the crowd is loving this and Jenny Gunn was helpless and can just dig it out towards point for a run.
97b A Sutherland to J Gunn
0 Sutherland is showing all her class here, holding her nerves really well, back of a length , slower ball, dipping into Gunn at the leg stump, misses to pull it again and the ball rolls to the keeper.
96b A Sutherland to J Gunn
0 Cross seam delivery, on a back of a length, angling into the leg stump line, Gunn was down the legside and misses her heave.
15 runs and 5 balls is the equation.

94b N Carey to Richards
W WICKET!! CAREY IS ON FIRE!! Richards tries to innovate and has to pay the price, length ball, angling into the middle stump, Richards moves across the off stump and tries to paddle it over fine leg, misses and ends up losing her poles. Fire will believe now they can win this.
94b N Carey to J Gunn
1wd Wayward delivery, full and down the legside, Bryce again behind the stumps saves it from going to the ropes and keeps it to a run only. Wide nonetheless.
