That's the end of the game and thank you for watching live ball to ball commentary on OneCricket and CricketExchange. This is Rishabh Gandhi along with Ajay Ahire and Arijit Kundu, signing off!
Player of the match: Jeffrey Vandersay for his brilliant 6-25 is the player of the match.
" So happy to make a comeback to playing competitive cricket. Initially I wasn't in the draft. So this is very satisfying. Went through some tough situations in the life personally".
It's all over here at Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. Colombo Stars, the home team have done it. A one sided victory for them and they enter the playoffs now. Jeffrey Vandersay you beauty!! 6 wickets out of the 24 deliveries that he bowled, undoubtedly a dream spell for any bowler.

Colombo Stars were put into bat first after a little drizzle here at Colombo and despite of losing Priyanjan in the first over, Kusal Perera and Dhananjay de Silva handled things with ease. A difficult track to play on but they were smashing the ball like anything. What a great half century from Kusal, leading from the front and making sure his team gets to a good total. Silva played a great supporting role too of 40 runs on 28 balls. A few wickets for Warriors in the middle overs but Chandimal and Mathews came to the rescue later on with those big hits and Stars ended with 182-6 in their 20 overs.

In reply, Warriors got off to a flying start and Kennar Lewis was in a mood to end things as early as possible. He managed to hit the biggest six of the tournament, 113 metres. But Warriors kept losing wickets in quick successions and credit goes to Jeffrey Vandersay who took the big wicket of Lewis, Bhanuka and Asalanka in the top order. Ravi Bopara scored 47 runs but it was not quite enough to seal the victory. Jeffrey ended up with 6 wickets, out of which 3 came in his last over. Along with him, Prasanna got 2 important wickets too.

A great game of cricket and with this Stars have qualified for the playoffs as well.
Ajay: What a thumping win here for the Colombo Stars and they are through to the playoffs here. And sadly the campaign of Kandy Warriors comes to an end here. But the better team goes through to the playoffs. Jeffrey Vandersay is the main architect with the ball for the Stars as he picked up 6-fer in his 4 overs spell. And with that Colombo Stars finishes on number 3 spot in the points table.

16.6 J Vandersay to A Hossain
W Flighted delivery from over the wicket, angling at the off, and this one turns sharply away from the full pitched delivery.  Al Amin goes for the lofted drive with the spin but ends up catching up with a feather of the outside surface of the bat. The keeper takes the catch well and Vandersay ends the group stages with a 6 wicket haul. Stars gush through into the playoffs with this victory.
16.5 J Vandersay to A Hossain
0 The wrong un and geesshh!! This just misses the top of off by mere inches this time. The batter  plays for the leggie and gets beaten on the inside part by the googly.
16.4 J Vandersay to K Mendis
W In a hattrick this time as Vandersay gets another!  Legbreak again and this one is floated right near the off and the batter goes for the big hoick again and Chameera takes the simple catch under the night sky once again. BAck to back wickets for the bowler.
16.3 J Vandersay to S Colombage
W Flighted on the slot this time, sprayed quite widish. The batter draws his hands and goes for the big hoick. He only gets it big in terms of elevation but certainly not the height. The ball skies up and falls underneath Chameera who stays underneath the cork at lon on and grabs  this one well.
16.2 J Vandersay to S Colombage
0 Another leg break turning away and keeping low. The batter shuffles away and looks to slap hard at it, but ends up missing it.
16.1 J Vandersay to S Colombage
0 Flighted up near the off from over the wicket and the ball turns sharply away  from the right hander to beat the defence of Colombage.

0 End to an excellent over from Naveen Ul Haque as he darts this down the legs and the batter fails to clip it off and gets a blow at his pads.
