So, that is it from me, Karthik Raj and my co-commentators, Arijit and Anurag Singh. Do join OneCricket's live coverage of a lot more matches
Chepauk Super Gillies get to lift the title now!!
Kaushik Gandhi: It means a lot to win this tournament. Well played to Ruby too and this was a very good game of cricket. The emotions were up and down. We were caught off-guard with their start but we came back well. Happy to be on the winning side. I think there is no seniority too and credit to the management who have kept the energy levels up. More than cricket part, the groundsmen have to be credit as there were a lot of good pitches and high-scoring games.
Rahil Shah: It was an underdog story. Really proud of the guys, we gave them a run for their money. We probably gave away 15 runs extra. Too many positives, so many players stepped up when it mattered. It was a team effort and I loved the way we played as one unit. I just hope we won hearts and we will continue to play like this as a team.
The match officials are getting the mementos now!
Hari Nishanth: Always special to contribute to Dindigul. I just wanted to bat till the end and the rest of things just took care of thenselves. There are a lot of positives to take for me from this tournament and I hope to carry this confidence through to the IPL.
Player of the Tournament is Hari Nishanth!!
Dindigul Dragons' captain Hari Nishanth gets an award for 'Most Runs in the tournament'. He made 368 runs
Commander of the Tournament is R Sai Kishore!
Most Valuable Player (MVP) award has been bagged by Nidhish Rajagopal
Dream11 Game-changer award goes to Sanjay Yadav.
Hari Nishanth gets the award for 'Most Sixes'. He struck 23 maximums
N Jagadeesan: It means a lot to me. Me contributing to a winning cause is always nice. I would rate this innings quite high. It's definitely good preparation going into the IPL and it is all about just making sure I grab the opportunities I get. We play as a team and a lot of credit needs to go to the support staff. There has been no pressure on me and I just had to go out and express myself.
Narayan Jagadeesan has been named as the 'Man of the Match' for his 90-run knock
Time for the Presentation ceremony
Along with M Mathivannan, Saravan Kumar found the fence regularly with boundaries and maximums. He helped Trichy to take 17 runs off the 18th over bowled by Harish Kumar even though Mathivannan got out of the final delivery. Saravan continued to look ominous as he brought down the equation to 13 off six balls with a couple of boundaries off Sonu Yadav's bowling in the penultimate over. In the end, Sai Kishore nailed his deliveries to bring home Chepauk their third title
R Sai Kishore built on the pressure and removed Antony in the tenth over as Trichy slipped to 89-3. Their key batsman, Nidhish Rajagopal got a couple of boundaries but R Sathish got his wicket with a half-tracker. Soon, B Arun got the better of Adithya Ganesh while R Alexander pulled off a stunning return catch to remove Muhammad Adnan Khan. Trichy were staring down the barrel at 108-6 but Saravan Kumar gave hope to the side out of nowhere.
However, Sonu Yadav finally gave the breakthrough for Chepauk as he removed Santosh Shiv. The dismissal didn't perturb Sathvik as he continued to blaze away. His cracking 36 off 16 balls came to an end when Sonu got a second scalp in the sixth over. Thereafter, Chepauk started to storm back into the game as Antony Dhas was put under a lot of pressure with dot deliveries.
What a mature over from R Sai Kishore!!! He had to defend 13 runs off the last over and ended up conceding only four runs. Sai didn't look under pressure for even one moment. Chasing 184 for victory, Ruby Trichy Warriors got off to a stunning start as the openers, Amith Sathvik and Santosh Shiv smashed 40 runs off the first three overs.
