Player Bio

A dashing wicket-keeper batsman from Tamil Nadu, Jagadeesan made his First Class and List-A debut in the Ranji Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy 2016, respectively. Apart from an elegant player, Jagadeesan is also a safe wicket-keeper behind the stumps.

Good performances in the domestic circuit caught the eyes of Chennai Super Kings scout, and Jagadeesan was roped in by the three-time IPL champions ahead of the 2018 IPL season. However, he did not feature in any of the matches but gained valuable experience sitting in the dugout with the likes of MS Dhoni and Shane Watson.

It wasn’t until the 2020 IPL season when Jagadeesan got a chance to showcase his skills. The Tamil Nadu player played 5 matches in the tournament and could only accumulate 33 runs at an average of 16.5. It was a disappointing tournament for Jagadeesan.

With IPL just around the corner, Jagadeesan has a chance to redeem himself. He has the talent to succeed at the highest level, and under the guidance of MS Dhoni, he can learn a thing or two about the art of playing T20 cricket.
