Milestone
So, that is it from me, Karthik Raj and my co-commentator, Akshay Bhide. Do join OneCricket's live coverage of the final between India Legends and Sri Lanka Legends on Sunday
Nuwan Kulasekara: I'm very happy with my performance. Captain trusts me in the powerplay and in the death. I just stick to the basics and give my 100 percent. I used to do this role during my playing days and did the same today. Gave my 100 percent for my captain and my team.
Nuwan Kulasekara has been named as the 'Man of the Match'
Tillakaratne Dilshan: Toss is really important. We have a strong batting line-up, so we are able to chase totals. We are doing well in all departments, hopefully we can produce it once more in two day's time. Everyone is enjoying their time out here, both on and off the field. They're keen to show whatever they did 10-15 years ago, so that's why we're doing well. We are getting good support back home. Many people left work early and I heard that they were gathering in big numbers to watch this match on a big screen. Only my hammy is a bit bad, rest all are fine. Big game. India have been playing really well. If we can continue this brand of cricket in the final, I think we can cross the line.
Jonty Rhodes : Sri Lankans played really well, they kept the pressure on. We thought that we could get pressure by getting to 140 or so. But they bowled really well, Kula and Sanath too. We did struggle getting 11 fit men for the game but that's no excuse. Sri Lanka have been terrific in their fielding and it's come due to the hard work they've put on. Well deserved. It's been an incredible experience. Good facilities in the hotel and the groundstaff also were brilliant. We were looked after really well. (on the finalists) Two different style teams, interesting to see how they go against each other.
Time for the Post-match presentation
Sri Lanka still required 67 runs off 64 balls after that wicket but Chinthaka Jayasinghe came in and changed the complexion of the match. Jayasinghe was especially brutal against the duo of Garnett Kruger and Thandi Tshabalala as he helped Sri Lanka Legends get 36 runs off three overs. In the end, he finished the match off in style by smashing Jonty Rhodes' gentle off-spin for a boundary. This result means that Sri Lanka Legends will face India Legends in the final on Sunday.
What a dominant run-chase from Sri Lanka Legends. They have registered an eight-wicket victory with 16 balls to spare. Chasing a paltry 126 for victory, Sri Lanka got off to a slow start and lost Tillakaratne Dilshan in the third over. The duo of Sanath Jayasuriya and Upul Tharanga kept the scorecard ticking before the former was caught and bowled by Alviro Petersen in the 10th over.
17.2 Jonty Rhodes to Chinthaka Jayasinghe
4 Full delivery, Jayasinghe smashes it straight down the ground for a boundary. This takes Sri Lanka to the final against India Legends!!
17.1 Jonty Rhodes to Upul Tharanga
1 Full toss outside-off, Tharanga drives it to point where Ntini mis-fields and concedes a single
And now Jonty comes in to bowl.
