Player Bio

Born and brought up in Karachi, Kainat Imtiaz is an explosive all-rounder who plays internationally as well as domestically for Pakistan. Since her childhood, she has represented many teams which include Karachi Schools, Karachi region, Omar associates cricket club, Sindh team.

Even though Kainat made her international debut back in 2010 when she was just 18, the Karachi-born pacer took time to establish herself on the biggest of stages. She made her international debut against South African Women on October 26th, 2010. Even though the Proteas won the match, Kainat impressed the cricketing fraternity with a magical spell of 2/16 in her four overs quota.

Kainat failed to repay the faith shown in her by the selectors and was frequently dropped from the squad in the presence of senior players. The 28-year-old has played just a handful of matches since her debut and hasn’t been able to prove herself at the international stages. Kainat is also a renowned power-hitter and an excellent strategist captaining multiple sides since her entry into the domestic circuit.
