Player Bio

A classy middle-order batsman and a part-time medium pacer, Sese Bau is a professional cricketer for the Papua New Guinea national team. After representing PNG in the U-19 World Cup Qualifiers, Sese made his debut for the senior team in a List A fixture against the Netherlands on June 24th, 2015.

Sese was first internationally capped in a T20I fixture against Ireland in February 2016. He was the highest scorer for PNG on his debut scoring 22 runs but ended up on the losing side.

Sese came into the highlight in the 2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Two, becoming the leading run-scorer with 141 runs in 6 innings as PNG finished the tournament on the third spot, thereby regaining the ODI status. After being named in PNG’s squad for the 2021 T20 World Cup, he would be hoping to take the associate nation into the Super 12s to challenge some of the best teams in the world.
