A prolific keeper-batter and a handy bowler was born and brought up in Mumbai and Hongkong simultaneously. He is the product of the U-11, U-15, U-17, U-19 system of the Hong Kong age-group programmes. 

Shah made his ODI and T20I debut against Papua New Guinea and Nepal respectively in November 2014. 

In the 2018 edition of the Asia Cup, the skilful all-rounder contributed 43 runs and three wickets in two games. He dismissed the Indian players like Shikhar Dhawan, Dinesh Karthik and Shardul Thakur with his off-breaks.

The elegant batter emerged as the top-scorer for the team in the 2019-20 edition of the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers with 223 runs in seven innings at an average of 37.16.

Shah slammed 87 runs in three innings of the 2019 edition of the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup. 

The Mumbai-born batter came out as the best all-round performer for Hong Kong with 615 runs and 16 wickets in 15 appearances of the 2019-2023 CWC challenge league group B. 

He contributed with 40 runs and a single wicket in the Asia Cup qualifiers to help the team in qualifying for the 2022 edition of biennial tournament.
