Player Bio

Nick Winter, an emerging paceman for South Australia and BBL’s franchise - Adelaide Strikers. His ability to late swing from the left-arm angle makes him a terrorising exponent against any top-brass batter.

Originally from Canberra, Winter first impressed ACT Comets, before South Australia bagged him in 2013-14 at junior level and earned the Player of the Year as a 17-year old. He was rookie-contracted by South Australia in 2014-15, then making his big Sheffield debut in early 2018.

The swingman took the competition by storm with a five-wicket haul on debut and ended the season with 34 wickets from just five first-class matches to become joint runner-up Sheffield Shield Player of the Year. He followed his debut season with another 25 wickets in 2018-19.

At Big Bash level, Winter was signed by the Adelaide-based franchise ahead of the eleventh edition, after playing BBL|04 for Melbourne Renegades and BBL|10 for Hobart Hurricanes.

During BBL|11, Winter will be targeting a debut in blue heading into his third season as a Striker, to get better with more experience at the T20 festival.
