PAK vs WI | 3rd ODI | Preview, Prediction, Probable XI, CREX XI

Pakistan will lock horns against the West Indies in the 3rd ODI of the three-match ODI series on Sunday (June 12th) at Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan. Pakistan has already sealed the ODI series, having defeated the West Indies in the first two ODIs and will be coming into the Sunday game with an unassailable 2-0 lead. The second ODI saw the host electing to bat first. Captain Babar Azam with Imam-ul-Haq added another century-run stand after losing Fakhar Zaman early. Both Babar and Imam scored 70 odd each before getting out cheaply, followed by a middle-order collapse, and Pakistan failed to give a potential 300+ target which was looking very much possible at one point. They finished at 275 for 8 in 50 overs and Akeal Hosein topped the wicket-taking chart for the West Indies with a 3 for 52. In reply, West Indies suffered a significant setback as they lost the in-form, Shai Hope, in the very first over. Kyle Mayers and Shamarh Brooks added 67 runs for the 2nd wicket, setting up a good foundation for the chase. However, the visitors never came back after losing the wicket of Mayers, leading to a 155 bowled in the end. Mohammad Wasim Jr came into the team in place of Hasan Ali and took three wickets, including the in-form Mayers' wicket. At the other end, Mohammad Nawaz was the main strike bowler, dismissing the entire middle order and registered his career-best figure of 4 for 19. Babar and Azam continue to pile up runs as both are the highest run-scorers in the series. Shai Hope and Shamarh Brooks will hopefully finish the series on a high. Akeal and Nawaz are the top wicket-takers in the series for their respective sides. Although the series is already done, it's not a dead rubber on Sunday. Both the teams will come out with their best, with 10 ODI Super League points up for grabs. Pakistan is currently slotted at fourth position with 80 points. On the other hand, West Indies went down to fifth, needing a win in the final ODI desperately as they have a very small number of games left in their hands in comparison to all other teams competing for direct qualification to the 2023 ODI World Cup. Match Details: Match: Pakistan vs West Indies, 2nd ODI Venue: Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan Date & Time: June 12th at 04:30 PM IST Live Streaming: Sony Sports Network Pitch Report: The pitch at the Multan Cricket Stadium is a good pitch to bat on. Top-order will enjoy the initial period of the play against the new ball, as we saw in the first two ODIs. However, spinners are likely to take control later as the game progresses. The average first innings total on this wicket should be around 285. The team winning the toss should be bowling first.
