Milestone
That is the end of the coverage of the second T20I between Pakistan Women and South Africa Women. The hosts won the fixture by 13 runs and have forced a series decider that will take place at the same venue on Friday (September 20).

For now, this is me AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ajay Pal Singh and scorer/analyst Ashok Dayma, who brought you all the live-action of this whirlwind game. We will be back with more action. Until then, its cheers!
Laura Wolvaardt (South Africa Women Captain): "Yeah, obviously, we had a few new bowlers getting a game tonight.

We let them off on the field and allowed them to score big. We have put down two catches each in two games. We can't afford that on the field. That, too, we dropped big players like Nidar Dar and all.

We didn't get to a good start. We didn't do well in the powerplay. Left a bit too much for Sune Luus and Chlor Tryon to do in the end."
Muneeba Ali (Player of the Match & Pakistan Women Captain): "Mindset was clear. In the last game, we were not up to the mark. The top order didn't do well. Everyone stepped up this game, this is how we want to play every game.

Honestly, I need to work a bit more against the spinners. This is the thing I need to work on to get consistent results.

When we were hitting the balls, we were hitting the fielders. The coaches tell us to rotate the strike and not just look for boundaries.

We knew, they are a top side. Needed to put a good bowling effort to restrict them. I took time for about 2 overs to settle, but it was a good experience (on captaining the side in the absence of Fatima Sana).

It was like her (Tasmia Rubab) debut, she bowled well in the death overs. She stepped up in the crucial situation of the game."

Time for the post-match presentation...
10:47 PM IST & 10:17 PM Local Time: Pakistan Women have leveled the series with a commanding 13-run win over South Africa in the second T20I. Youngster Tasmia Rubab held her nerves, coming into the game as a concussion sub for the skipper Fatima Sana. South Africa Women batters never really got going and struggled to accelerate, when they tried to up the ante, they lost wickets.

Earlier in the match, South Africa Women won the toss an opted to bowl first. Gul Feroza fell cheaply, scoring 10 off 11. But Muneeba Ali continued and scored 45 off 34. She departed in the 11th over.

Sidra Ameen and Nida Dar then added 26 runs for the third wicket before the former lost her wicket. Skipper Fatima Sana then came out all guns blazing and added 60 runs with Dar for the 4th wicket.

Aliya Riaz then played a nice cameo, scoring 17 off 7 to take Pakistan Women over the 180-run mark. Tumi Sekhukhune picked up two wickets, while Sune Luus and Annerie Dercksen got one each.

In reply, South Africa Women lost the star from the previous game Tazmin Brits for 9 in the 3rd over.

Skipper Laura Wolvaardt made 36 off 25 but she perished in the 9th over. Aneeke Bosch made a run-a-ball 24 but was dismissed by Sadia Iqbal as she looked to up the scoring rate.

Nadine de Klerk struggled to get the big shots away and perished after a scratchy knock of 12 off 16.

Fatima Sana had to leave the field after taking a blow to her cheek. She was replaced by Tasmia Rubab as a concussion sub.

Sune Luus scored a late half-century down the order, getting to the milestone off just 28 balls but it was too little too late for the visitors.

Nashra Sandhu picked up 2 for 20 while Sadia Iqbal got 2 for 27 from her four overs as South Africa Women fell 13 runs short of the target. Stay tuned as we will be back with the post-match presentation in a while.
