I kept visualizing before the game and I am glad that I played till the final over where I took the bowling to the opposition. 18:50 IST and Local Time- The Kanpur Superstars have clinched this game by 31 runs via the DLS method and the Kashi Rudras will be really disappointed. They were in a tricky situation when the weather gods intervened and they had to pay the price in the end. It was an innings that never got any momentum except Bansal's brief cameo at the top.
The Kashi Rudras didn't really have a great start as the hard hitting Almas Shaukat was dismissed early on in the powerplay. Bansal played some big strokes displaying his class but the problems began for the Rudras when their skipper Karan Sharma was dismissed playing a loose shot.
Bansal kept the scoreboard ticking but the pressure got to him eventually as he was trapped right in front of the stumps by Aaqib Khan. Things got from bad to worse for the Kashi side as Shiva Singh was dismissed soon after and they were reeling at 55/4 during that stage. The required rate kept on climbing and the pressure was getting to the batters.
All the four bowlers chipped in with the wickets. Rajput picked up the first wicket with superb slower ball and he was backed up well by Panwar and Kumar. Aaqib Khan got the most important scalp of Bansal who looked dangerous for a while. Overall it has been a really good effort from the Kanpur Superstars and they would be really satisfied with this result as they've managed to win a game.
