Priyam Garg(Lucknow Falcons Captain): "I have played a lot of reverse sweeps and I knew I can hit those over point area. Rain was there in the start of the match and ball was coming on to the bat and the message was clear. Hit big. We tried to do well with the top order batters and they have delivered. Our middle order is doing well."

Rinku Singh(Meerut Mavericks Captain): "The match was quite competitive. Bowlers did well, batters did well. Today we lost for some guys and they will help us win in the next games. We just failed to execute. Swastik and I, we did a good partnership in the last year too and today, just kept believing in our abilities."
19:17 IST and Local Time- The Lucknow Falcons have won this game in style and it was the skipper Priyam Garg who finished it off with a boundary. Zeeshan Ansari pushed them into an uncomfortable situation by picking up Samarth Singh in the final over, but the Falcons were in no mood to let this game slip. Singh was the hero with the bat as he scored 69 runs from 27 balls.
Harsh Tyagi and Samarth Singh came out with a mission in their minds. They were off to an incredibly quick start and started to smash the ball to all parts of the ground in the powerplay itself. The Falcons raced off to 47 runs from the first three overs and it set them up for chase as the Meerut Mavericks couldn't get the wickets.
The likes of Yogendra Doyla and Yash Garg were all take to the cleaners by the pair of Tyagi and Singh who were racing to get to the fifty first. The breakthrough however came in the 7th over as the wily Zeeshan Ansari picked up the wicket of Tyagi, who was on 49. It brought some parity back into the game.
However Kritagya SIngh along with Samarth continued the charge and Singh brought up his own fifty of just 20 balls. It was down to Ansari to defend just 7 runs from the final over but the game had already slipped away from the hands of the Mavericks. Their bowlers took a real pounding and they will have some reflecting to do.

4 FOURRR!!!!! Priyam Garg finishes things off in style and party starts in the dressing room. The players have converged to congratulate the skipper. Ansari tosses it up at the outside off line. Garg gets into the position and reverse sweeps it over short third and it trickles to the fence.
