5:07 PM IST and Local Time: Stumps have been called on Day 1 in the India A vs. India C clash of the Duleep Trophy 2024. In this 77-over play, both teams had their moments, but in the end, Shashwat Rawat, who scored an unbeaten 122, will be remembered after today's day.

The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led India C began the day stylishly, sending five of India A's batters back to the hut in the first session with the scoreboard reading 36/5 after 18 overs. But then came Shashwat Rawat and Shams Mulani to the rescue. The duo shared a partnership of 87 runs, reviving India A's innings from the damage done by Anshul Kamboj and Vijaykumar Vyshak.

The partnership between Rawat and Mulani was ended with a marvellous catch taken by Rajat Patidar with a flying effort at the gully. After that, Rawat shared another key stand with Tanush Kotian, where they scored 31 on almost run-a-ball. Kamboj got Kotian on 10, with the scoreboard shouting 154/7.

But it brought Avesh Khan to the middle, and the paceman became Rawat's reliable partner. Soon Shashwat Rawat went past the three-figure mark, but it didn't break the youngster's composure. Even after getting to his century, the 23-year-old batter didn't look to go fancy and tried playing as many balls as he could.

In the end, Rawat and Avesh's stand reads 70* off 138 balls as India A end the day on 224/7!

1 Length ball outsuide off, Rawat taps it towards backward point. They rush to get across and the fielder has a shy at the non-striker's end. The bowler collects it finely and removes the bails. The third umpire is checking every possible angle and frame. It seems that when the bowler clipped off the bails with his fingers and the ball wasn't in contact with him. The TV umpire thinks that as Shashwat Rawat survives that - he will go unbeaten on 122. Stumped called on Day 1!
76.5 Suthar to S Rawat
0 A loud appeal and the umpire raises his finger. Thuds him straight in front of the wickets as Shashwat Rawat misses to put bat while playing a flick off the front foot. Round the wicket, full ball on the middle stump line, the batter takes a stride out but misses to tuck it away. The batter reviews it straightaway. There is some bat involved, confirms the ultraedge!! Not out signalled!
76.4 Suthar to S Rawat
0 Fuller ball on the off, Rawat works it back to the bowler.

0 Stumping check!!! Ishan Kishan whips off the bails as Avesh Khan gets off balance. Outside off, the batter goes to smoke a slog sweep but he misses. Ah, his foot was inside the crease. It never got out of the crease. Avesh Khan would survive that. And the official verdict is here - HE'S NOT OUT!!
75.5 P Narang to S Rawat
1 Full and outside off, Rawat drives it away to long-off as he rotates the strike on this one.
75.4 P Narang to S Rawat
0 Tossed up around off, Rawat drives it to long-off but doesn't take a run.
75.3 P Narang to A Khan
1 He comes out of his crease again and he gets back as the ball spins in sharply. Gets an edge to short fine leg for one.
75.2 P Narang to A Khan
4 Avesh Khan smokes it over mid-off for a boundary. Goes down to the pitch of the ball and slogs it away for a boundary.
Ruturaj bringing close-in fielders for Avesh.
