Milestone
That's it from this game. We have one more game to come in DPL 2024. Keep hooked to our network for all other cricketing actions across the globe and across formats. For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Soumarya Dutta alongside scorer/analyst Asraj Khan. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodbye and CHEERS for now.
Keshav Dabas (Player of the Match): "The atmosphere is positive in the dressing room. The aim was to play aggressive and positive cricket. Support staff have told to keep faith and always believe in ourselves and that was the plan. My plan was to play normal wicket. This is a different role to finish games and support staff have always helped us a lot. They help me a lot. Preparations are same and backed myself to do well and took time to finish the game. Will always back myself to do well and have belief on yourself to do well. That will be fine."
Player of the Match: Keshav Dabas.
Jonty Sidhu(Central Delhi KingsCaptain)- "It was a really close game and was a great feeling to defeat a side like the East Delhi Riders as they had been winning all their games almost one sided. We had given specific instructions to our specific players and they went out there and executed their plans to perfection. Keshav Dabas played an excellent innings. We will look to carry on this momentum for the rest of the tournament."
Super Striker of the Match: Keshav Dabas.
Most Economical Bowler of the Match: Raunak Waghela.
Catch of the Match: Pranav Pant.
Most Fours of the Match: Himmat Singh (7 Fours).
Most Game changer Sixes of the Match: Keshav Dabas (3 sixes).
Time for the presentations.
17:35 IST and Local Time- It has been an incredible run chase by the Central Delhi Kings and it has come on the back of an unbelievable knock by Keshav Dabas. He changed the game in that one over of Bhagwan Singh where the bowler conceded 27 runs despite getting a wicket. The Kings were behind at one stage but came back through two great partnerships back to back.

Yash Dhull was dismissed early on by Simarjeet Singh early on in the innings. Kaushik played a few delightful shots but was dimissed by the crafty Tyagi for just 15. Hiten Dalal came to the crease and he unleashed himself on the East Delhi bowlers. It helped the Central Delhi Kings to bring the chase under control and they got to 51/2 in the powerplay.

The East Delhi Riders made a good comeback towards the halfway stage of the innings as they picked up a couple of quick wickets. Raunak Waghela picked up the wicket of Hiten Dalal while the skipper Jonty Sidhu was dismissed by Mayank Rawat. It put the pressure on the chasing side as the run rate kept mounting.

The pair of Aryan Rana and Keshav Dabas had to build another partnership and they took their time early on. Once they got set, the big shots started to come and they brought up the 50 run partnership. The game was evenly poised as we headed into the final few overs of the game.
Himmat Singh (East Delhi Riders Captain): "Definitely we were 15-20 short. We lacked intent with the bat. The bowlers tried their best, We had to deliver under pressure and that is the moto of the tournament. Not a disadvantage. We felt the batting was slow and it was slow. The bowlers will learn and will definitely learn better. I won't say much. Keep learning as the tournament is going on. You never loose. You learn or you win. I am not too perturbed about it."
17.5 S Singh to S Kumar
4 FOUR MORE! Short of a length, Sumit takes it on and pulls it away through the gap between deep midwicket and deep square leg as the ball races away to the fence for a boundary. Hat-trick of boundaries to end the contest. Sumit Kumar finishes things off in style. Central Delhi Kings win by 5 wickets to register their third straight win and East Delhi Riders lose for the first time today.
17.4 S Singh to S Kumar
4 FOUR MORE! Fuller length wide outside off, Sumit drives it handsomely through the covers as the ball races away to the cover fence.
17.3 S Singh to S Kumar
4 FOUR! Short of a length into the pitch, Sumit looks to pull and gets a top edge over the keeper. Three fielders converge for it and cannot do anything about it. The ball goes away to the fence.
17.2 S Singh to K Dabas
1 Full toss on the pads, Dabas flicks it away to the square leg region for a single.
17.1 S Singh to S Kumar
1lb Over the wicket. Fuller length drifting onto the pads, Sumit looks to flick it away and wears it on the pads for a leg bye.
