After losing the toss and put into bat first, Priyansh Arya and Sarthak Ray opened the innings for South Delhi Superstarz. The duo added 101 on the board before Sarthak was dismissed for 49 from 37 balls. Skipper Ayush Badoni also played a magnificent innings of 56 from 20 balls. Priyansh Arya became the first batter in DPL 2024 to score a century. He remained unbeaten on 107 from 55 balls. Tejaswi Dahiya made a quick fire 18 from 8 balls and helped his team post a score of 235/3 at the end of 20 overs.
For Purani Delhi-6, Prince Yadav was the pick of the bowlers who took 2/41 in 4 overs. Shivam Sharma was the other bowler to take a wicket in the innings.
Chasing a target of 236 on the board, Arpit Rana and Arnav Bagga opened the innings for Purani Delhi-6. They added 43 runs before Rana was dismissed for 29 from 19 balls.
