Himmat Singh(East Delhi Riders Captain)- " Once the ball got older, it didn't help our bowlers. Their batters did well towards the end and then attacked the spinners. The game swings too fast from one end to the other but we had the plans of trying to finish the game as quickly as possible. Mayank won us the game and he is a match winner. Every player will hopefully take the responsibility of winning us the remaining games."

Lalit Yadav (Purani Delhi-6 Captain): "I think losing three back to back wickets in batting shifted momentum but we could only get to 140. Bowling was good, but it was not enough. Bad day at the office. Not thinking too far ahead. Can't talk about things that went wrong. Need to learn from mistakes and come back stronger. The message was to fight till the end. We tried hard out there the bowlers gave their best but it was not our best. We will come back stronger in the next few games."
18:00 IST and Local Time- Mayank Rawat has played an unbelievable knock here and he has taken the East Delhi Riders to a comfortable win in the end. They win by 5 wickets with two overs to spare. They were struggling at one stage but Mayank played a sublime knock of 55 from 27 balls. He got to play the part time spinner Arnav Bugga in the 16th over and made full use of it as he smashed 22 runs of it to finish the game off in a jiffy.
The East Delhi openers were off to sedate start but Singh and Anuj Rawat accelerated from the third over. Singh however played one shot too many and holed out to the point fielder. The powerplay yielded 38 runs for the loss of a wicket for the East Delhi Riders. It was a steady start for them.
The problems began right after the powerplay. Anuj Rawat was caught plumb in front trying to sweep one. Pant too fell to Shivam Sharma who got two wickets in one over. Himmat Singh was the next to go as he failed to give direction to a wide delivery and ended up being caught at fine leg. At the 10th over mark of the innings East Delhi Riders were 63/4.
Hardik Sharma and Mayank Rawat steadied the innings with a big partnership. The pair didn't take too many risks initially but once they were set, they upped the ante and brought up a 50 run partnership. It brought the required run rate under control till Hardik was dismissed in bizarre fashion due to a review. 41 runs were required from the final phase of the innings.
Lalit Yadav was accurate and tidy early on and he got great support from Prince Yadav who picked up a couple of wickets. Shivam Sharma, the experienced spinner proved handy and got a double strike in one over. Yug Gupta was the only other bowler who managed to pick up a wicket.
