This is me AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi, who brought you all the live-action of this clash. We will meet again in another fixture. Until then, its cheers!
Earlier, Canada won the toss and opted to bat first. On the back of some glorious ball-striking from Aaron Johnson and Nicholas Kirton, Canada posted 169/5 in 20 overs. Jasdeep Singh and Juanoy Drysdale were excellent with the ball for USA.

Right at the stroke of the innings break, it started to get darker and pelt down. The rain gods didn't allow the second innings to begin and eventually, the match officials called off the contest, awarding both sides one point each.
9:50 PM IST and 18:20 Local Time: MATCH ABANDONED! The inevitable happened, and it was a crazy storm. The match officials were forced to abandon the game after the rain came down pretty heavily.
9:13 PM IST and 17:43 Local Time: Now, the covers have been placed over the pitch and two squares. Not an ideal sign if you are a cricket fan. The rain has picked up now. It is windy and looks gloomy. We will start losing overs after 30 minutes.
9:05 PM IST and 17:35 Local Time: With the dark clouds looming, the covers have come on as a precautionary measure. No rain as of now.
9:04 PM IST, 17:34 Local Time: Canada managed to post 169/5 in 20 overs, thanks to valuable knocks from Aaron Johnson (45 off 35) and Nicholas Kirton (44 off 32).

After opting to bat first, Aaron Johnson provided a rollicking start for Canada, scoring at a brisk pace from the outset. Although Johnson and Rayyan Pathan added over 50 runs for the opening wicket, the latter struggled with the bat and was dismissed for just 14 runs off 13 balls.

Nicholas Kirton paired (44) with Johnson (45) in the middle and the pair looked promising and added 41 runs for the second wicket. However, the duo failed to carry the momentum and fell short of their respective fifties. Harsh Thaker looked sluggish in the middle losing his wicket in the form of run-out after scoring 18-ball 15 runs. Shreyas Movva played an unbeaten knock of 22 runs at the tail end of the innings and propelled Canada's score close to 170 runs.

Jasdeep Singh bagged a couple of wickets for the USA, while Juanoy Drysdale and Shadley van Schalkwyk chipped in with a solitary wicket.

USA need 170 runs to win this match. Stay tuned for the chase.

19.6 Schalkwyk to D Heyliger
2 Full on the middle stump. Heyliger drills it to long off for a couple of runs. The wicketkeeper collects the throw and removes the bails, but Heyliger makes it with a bit of stretch in the end. Canada end at 169/5! The covers come on as a precautionary measure.
19.5 Schalkwyk to D Heyliger
6 SIXXXX!!! JASDEEP SINGH, TAKE A BOW FOR THE SPORTSMANSHIP! Full outside the off stump. Heyliger gets low and hammers it towards long on. Gets it off the bottom and goes high in the air. Jasdeep settles under it and takes the catch in reverse cup style, but guess what? He has stepped on the boundary rope. He signals six. What sportsman spirit from the pacer!
Now, Movva is getting some treatment from the physio as he has been hit on his right hand.
19.4 Schalkwyk to S Movva
1lb Slower short ball angled back into the batter. Movva swivels for the pull. Goes through with the shot way too early and misses, getting hit on the right hand. Rolls in the off side for a leg bye. The physio runs to check Movva!
19.3 Schalkwyk to S Movva
6 SIXXXX!!! A one-handed six from Movva! Back of a length on the leg stump. Movva backs away and looks to smash it on the up. Loses the bottom hand from the bat but still has enough power behind it to take the ball sailing over widish long on for a maximum. Good catch out there by one of the groundsmen.
19.2 Schalkwyk to S Movva
0 Good length on the off stump. Movva misses the reverse scoop to the keeper. Dot ball!
19.1 Schalkwyk to S Movva
2 Over the wicket. Full on the stumps. Movva goes over mid off with a lofted drive for a couple. The fielder hunts it down with a slide.
Jasdeep Singh ends with 2/31. Shadley van Schalkwyk will bowl the final over.
