Manish Pandey (Hubli Tigers Captain): "It was a great opportunity to bat, and we did well with both left-handed batsmen contributing significantly. Scoring 209 runs was a solid effort, and our bowlers performed admirably. Pai delivered exceptionally well, and we had some strong performances today that we can build on.

The team is looking good overall; our batsmen are in fantastic form, and our bowlers are also performing well. We’re focused on working together and continuing to improve. (Gautam) He batted well, and he performed well in practice as well. I hope to deliver even more in the future."

06.40 PM IST & Local Time: The Hubli Tigers have clinched a convincing victory with an all-round performance, securing their 6th win of the season. They defeated the Mangaluru Dragons by 42 runs, reinforcing their strong position as they head into the semi-finals.

Earlier, after losing the toss and being asked to bat first, the Tigers faced early pressure with the loss of two quick wickets. However, KL Shrijith and Aneeshwar Gautam came together to anchor the innings. Despite a shaky start, the duo transformed the game with a sensational 148-run partnership.

Shrijith was exceptional, scoring a robust 77 off 44 balls, including 7 fours and 6 sixes, before being dismissed. Gautam continued his brilliance, remaining unbeaten on 95 off 58 balls, hitting 8 boundaries and 5 sixes. His crucial innings featured a decisive 48 runs from 25 balls during the death overs, but posting an impressive 209/3 in their allotted 20 overs.

Mangaluru Dragons’ bowlers struggled to contain the scoring as the Tigers accelerated towards the end of their innings. Abhilash Shetty, Shreyas Gopal, and Advith Shetty managed to take wickets.

Chasing a total of 210 runs. The Dragons got off to a brisk start, with Macneil Noronha and Rohan Patil contributing valuable runs. However, the innings soon faltered as the Tigers' bowlers tightened their grip.

Despite some promising individual performances such as Lochan S Gowda's quickfire 35 off 18 balls and Shreyas Gopal's 38 off 23. The Dragons struggled to maintain momentum. They lost wickets at crucial intervals, and the middle order couldn't provide the necessary support to push the chase forward.

Nischith Pai was particularly effective with the ball, taking 3 wickets for just 21 runs, while Rishi Bopanna also claimed 3 wickets, effectively dismantling the Mangaluru batting lineup. Despite some late resistance, the Dragons were eventually bowled out for 167 runs in 19.2 overs, falling short by 42 runs.

Stay tuned for the post match presentations...
19.2 M Kumar to Arya
W That would be the end for the Mangaluru Dragons. At a good length outside off and angling into the batter. Paras Arya moves across in the offside as he looks to scoop it over short fine leg but misses on the stumps. The timbers go for a toss. Hubi Tigers win by 42 runs.
19.1 M Kumar to A Shetty
1 Good length around off, Shetty taps it to mid off for a sharp run.
44 needed off last over. Is that possible?
