Shubhang Hegde(Captain for Bengaluru Blasters): "The batters told the wicket was holding for the spinners and we knew that it was good enough. In the afternoon, I attended the meeting and Mayank was not there. I was told to lead the side and I was ready. I am happy the way our bowlers have contributed.

I love the way the crowd have supported us so far."

18:30 IST and Local Time | Bengaluru Blasters have defeated Mysore Warriors by 56 runs and are now the table toppers.

Bengaluru Blasters were not off to a good start as they lost Dega Nischal for a golden duck and Niranjan Naik for 3. But Chethan LR took the game forward for his side with a few boundary shots. He and Shivkumar Rakshith batted well for their 72 run partnership for the 3rd wicket. Shivkumar added 29 runs off 28 balls.

However Chethan continued his merry way as he got out for a well made 88 off 53 balls hitting 9 fours and 5 maximums. Suraj Ajya Ahuja contributed 32 runs from 16 balls with 3 fours and 2 maximums to take his team to a safe score of 189 after their 20 overs.

For the Mysore-based franchise, Codanda Ajit Karthik was the star of the show picking up 3 wickets. Krishnappa Gowtham took a couple of wickets and the rest of the wickets were equally shared by Vidyadhar Patil and Jagadeesha Suchith.

Coming to chase the target, Karthik SU and Karthik CA added 35 runs from the first three overs. But after that Hegde of Blasters took the wicket bowling tight lines. Karthik got out for 26 off 13 balls. Codanda Ajit Karthik soon followed him for 17 from 11 balls. Samit Dravid failed to contribute and Karun Nair, the in-form man got out for 13 and that was a big blow for the Mysore Warriors.

After Nair's dismissal, Jagadeesha Suchith contributed 16 runs and Manoj Bhandage got out for a golden duck. Since then, the concussion substitute Sagar Gowtham added 18 runs to reduce the deficit in the net run rate. Warriors got bundled out for 133.

Skipper Shubhang Hegde took 3 wickets for Blasters giving 28 runs away. Kranthi Kumar took 2 wickets for his side. Aniruddha Joshi, who bowled after long, took 2 wickets in his only over. Lavish Kaushal took 2 wickets for 10 runs.
