Wow! After nearly five hours and a historic three Super Overs, we finally have a winner in the Maharaja Trophy 2024. The Hubli Tigers defeated the Bengaluru Blasters and secured the crucial two points.

8:04 PM IST & Local Time: Phew! After three Super Overs and what felt like an eternity, we finally have a winner in this epic contest between the Bengaluru Blasters and the Hubli Tigers. In a historic game, Hubli Tigers emerge victorious.
Earlier in the match, Bengaluru Blasters won the toss and opted to field first. Hubli Tigers were bowled out on the last ball of their inning for 163. Three batters got into 30s but failed to kick on and get a big score.
Mohammed Taha scored 31 off just 14. Skipper Manish Pandey scored 33 off 22, while Aneeshwar Gautam made 30 off 24.
Lavish Kaushal was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with figures of 5/17 from his four overs. Kranthi Kumar got two, while Shubhang Hegde and Naveen MG picked up one wicket apiece.
Come the chase, Vidhwath Kaverappa gave Hubli the perfect start with the wicket of Chethan LR in the very first over.
Mayank Agarwal stood his ground at the other end, but Bengaluru kept losing wickets at regular intervals to find themselves at 96/5 at one stage, with the 5th wicket being that of Mayank Agarwal after he scored 54 runs off 34 balls.
However, Bengaluru never lost faith and hope, as they kept chipping away runs and Aniruddha, Suraj and Naveen combined to end the match in a tie and take us into a super over.
Manvanth Kumar was the destructor in chief with the figures of 4/33 from 4 overs. In the super over, both sides refused to give away even an inch and that resulted in a history making moment as for the first time ever we got to see 3 SUPER OVERS to determine the winner of this match!
In the 3rd Super Over, Bengaluru Blasters made 12 runs and on the final ball of the 3rd Super Over, Manvanth Kumar finished off the chase with a boundary.
