Milestone
That's it from the coverage of this game. Do join us for the second game of the day starting very shortly. Till then, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentators AkshayaKrishna Polya and Soumarya Dutta alongside scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodbye for now!
Mayank Agarwal(Bengaluru Blasters Captain)- "I thought we bowled really well especially after the first two overs. For us, to bat the way we did with Chethan back in the side, it was really special. The team management and everybody has been very positive. We put the hard yards for the auction and assembled a great side. The owners were very clear on Chethan and they wanted him back.

I thought maybe 200 was on the cards but our boys kept it in the right areas and brought us back in the game. There was some green on the wicket but Shubhang did really well along with Mohsin. We wanted to get into a good position and tried to play good cricketing shots."

RECORD ALERT: This (52 balls remaining) is the biggest-ever victory in the history of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 in terms of number of balls remaining.
18:05 IST and Local Time- The Bengaluru Blasters have begun their campaign in incredible fashion as they've clinched this game by 9 wickets and 52 balls to spare. Mayank Agarwal, the skipper hit the winning runs to get his side home and rightfully so. In the process they've also smashed the record for the biggest ever victory in the Maharaja Trophy in terms of balls remaining.

Chethan and Mayank Agarwal went all guns blazing the batting powerplay. The pair targeted the fast bowlers early on and Vishak Vijaykumar, the star bowler of the Mystics was taken to the cleaners. The Blasters were much more calculative in their approach when compared to the Mystics and they didn't play any rash shots.

They picked up 60 runs from the powerplay as the likes of Shekawat and Reddy struggled to keep the runs down. It was never going to be easy with just 111 on the board but the two Bengaluru openers just ran away with the game from them. The run rate required was never an issue and the Gulbarga bowlers failed to pick up the much needed wickets.

Chethan got to his 50 in some style with a massive six but he fell of the very next delivery as Vijaykumar picked up the first wicket for the Gulbarga Mystics. It was too late by that time as the chase was just a mere formality and the Blasters got home easily in the end.
11.2 V Vijaykumar to M Agarwal
2 Fuller length around off, Mayank drives it through the covers for a couple of runs to get the win for the Bengaluru Blasters. So, Mayank Agarwal hits the winning runs as Bengaluru Blasters win this game by 9 wickets with 8.4 overs to spare to start their campaign off in style!
Just 2 more are required for the Blasters.
11.1 V Vijaykumar to M Agarwal
4 FOUR! Over the wicket. Short and wide outside off, Mayank steers it away past the diving backward point fielder as the ball rockets away to the fence for a boundary.
Bengaluru Blasters need 6 in 54 balls.
