That's it. There comes the official word and the Match is Abandoned. That was always on the cards. Brampton Wolves finish second on the points table after getting a point in this game. So, that's it for this game from our side. Hopefully, we get to see some action in the 2nd game. Do join us for that. For now, this is me Hiren Kumar signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ayan, Hrutuja, and scorer/analyst Ashok Dyama. See ya!!!
10:00 PM IST, 12:30 PM Local Time: The umpires and ground staff shook hands and now we are awaiting official update.
9:30 PM IST, 12:00 PM Local Time: The rain continues to fall at the venue. The covers are firmly in place and even if the rain stops, it will take a lot of effort from the ground staff to get the ground ready for a game of cricket. Stay tuned for further updates.
8:49 PM IST, 11:19 AM Local Time: Nothing new to update from the venue. It continues to rain. The covers are firmly placed and the umbrellas are out from the umpires.
8:21 PM IST, 10:51 AM Local Time: The covers are firmly placed and the umpires are having a chat with the groundsmen. Lots of puddles are on the covers. There is a slight drizzle still falling. The game hasn't been called off yet.
Hiren: A very good evening to all. Coming to your question Ajay, This tournament has seen low-scoring encounters from the start. I think the important thing will be to first assess the playing conditions and if it continues to be slow then neither the players nor the audience will be happy. The teams will then look to focus just the 110-120 mark from here and the toss becomes the most important part of all the remaining games.

Hrutuja - Hello everyone, hello Ajay, Yes it is difficult to play on a single venue, I am sure as the matches process the wickets will get more and more difficult to play on. Plus the rain and gloomy weather make things even worse for the wickets. I think the best way to play on such wickets is that play very late and take your time on the wicket! First, read the pitch and then play accordingly.

Ayan: Hello to everyone who are with us for this contest. I think the challenge will get harder for the batters on this pitch which suits the bowlers. The only way they can tackle this is apply themselves by putting their head down and play a kind of Test cricket. I feel keeping wickets in hand early on will be the key and a score of 120-130 will be a winning score moving forward.
Ajay: Hello everyone! With all the matches being played at a single venue and adding rain to make things worse, the pitch will only get difficult to bat. How can the batters tackle the uneven bounce and the sluggish nature of the pitch during the playoffs?
In case of a washout, Brampton Wolves will finish in the second position.
8:07 PM IST, 10:37 AM Local Time: We have bad news folks from the venue. It's raining heavily and the covers are in place. The square, bowlers run up all are covered.
Stay tuned for the toss and team sheets that shall unfurl on your screen soon.
Both teams are through to the playoffs. It's all about who finishes where in the top 4. Currently, the Wolves are in second place with 8 points from 6 games identical to the Tigers who have the same tally but are behind on Net Run Rate. Whoever wins today, will go top of the points table and finish in the Top 2 while the loser will have to settle to play the Eliminator. So, it's all to play for in this clash.
The Head-To-Head sees the Wolves lead it by 2 games to nil with one game abandoned. These two teams met earlier this season, and the Wolves easily disposed off the Tigers by 8 wickets. They bowled the Tigers out for 79 and then chased it down with relative ease. Only time will tell as to who will come out on top tonight.
Key Players that we have to watch out for in this clash:

David Warner
Beau Webster
Andrew Tye
Shakib Al Hasan
David Wiese
Shoriful Islam
Pre-Match Pitch Report: The pitch at the venue has been hard work for the batters as run scoring hasn't been easy batting first. With conditions slated to be overcast, batting first won't be easy at all. A score of 120-130 can be competitive and expect the captain winning the toss to bowl first.
