That brings an end to our coverage of this series. It was a real pleasure bringing you all the updates from this exciting ODI series. Keep joining us for more cricketing action all around the globe. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator AkshayaKrishna Polya and scorer Bishal Mandal. Until next time, cheers and good bye.
Charith Asalanka receives the trophy. He joins his teammates as they pose for the photographs behind the 'Champions' board.
Charith Asalanka (Sri Lanka Captain): "Of course, I am a happy captain right now. I think the team played very well. The team did all things right throughout the series.

We all knew that they had a very long batting line-up. We just backed our strength, and it was the spinners. We just backed our spinners to do well. If we have to win a series against India, we have to play exactly like we did. Yes, the batters struggled a bit, but if you want to win a series, you need to do things like this.

Definitely, they (players and support staff) are in a very good mood right now. Our coach, Sanath Jayasuriya, is very active. He made a few changes to the team. A new management and the boys are enjoying the new environment."
Asalanka collects the series winner's cheque.
Rohit Sharma (India Captain): "(On playing against spin) I don't think it's a concern. But we have to look at it seriously. Individual plans. We were put under the pressure throughout the series. We will talk about it and come up with better plans.

(Were they complacent?) It's a joke. When you are playing for India, there is no complacency. When I'm the captain, there won't be any complacency. We will try hard to win the games. But we were outplayed in this series. You have to give credit where it is due. Sri Lanka played well and they deserved to win.

We thought taking the pace off the ball was ideal here. We have a lot of players who are waiting in the wings. We have to give them opportunity and see how they go.

(Positives from the series) Throughout the series, there were positives that came up. How the spinners bowled and how the batters played in the middle. Even if we lost the series, we have some positives. We have to keep the positives aside and look where we went wrong. But having said that, these things happen. Series lost means it doesn't mean that it is the end of the world. These guys are playing good cricket for the past few years. It's about coming back after this."
Dunith Wellalage (Player of the Series): "Yeah, first of all, my skipp and my teammates and coaching staff. Everyone supported me, and that is why this performance.

The wicket was turning; it was about adjusting to it. Today, the wicket is also the same one. We made fewer mistakes today.

First of all, Aviskha Fernando and Kusal Mendis batted very well. After that, Maheesh Theekshana, Jeffrey Vandersay, and I bowled well. The batters did a good job, and then the spinners bowled well. Everyone is supporting each other and I am excited to be part of the team."

Game Changer of the Series Award: Dunith Wellalage
Charith Asalanka signs the ball for the fan of the match and collects the match-winner's cheque and trophy.
Avishka Fernando (Player of the Match) (translated by Roshan Abeysinghe): "I'm very happy with the innings as it was a tough surface to bat on. Happy that our batters got together and put a good score on the board.

It was a challenge batting on this surface. A bit sad to miss out on the hundred but happy to get the win."
