Milestone
That's it from our coverage of a spectacular chase from Australia in the series opener against Scotland. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Richard Berrington (Scotland Captain): "That's what we expect playing against one of the best teams in the world. We started out well with the bat. Had a decent powerplay. Credit goes to the Australian bowlers, they adapted to the wicket really quickly and made it hard to get away and capitalize on the start to get a big score on the board.

We are really disappointed with how things ended up today. Its a great experience for the younger guys. There's another great opportunity coming up in a couple of days' time. If we execute a little better in few things, we will give ourselves a good chance to get back in the game.

As a team we want to keep improving and get exposure playing against teams like Australia and take away as much as experience. We have to keep that belief that we can compete and play our best cricket. Unfortunately we couldn't quite managed to do that. We look to learn from it and we will come back strong for the next one."
Mitchell Marsh (Australia Captain): "Always nice to start the tour with a win. We spoke that it was important to win the first game in a three-match series and nice to get it.

The bowlers were really good. It was about staying clear with what they wanted to do. The energy on the field was good. The bowlers were fantastic on the ground. That's what you ask for.

The Scottish people are extremely proud of their cricket. It is a great privilege for us to be touring here and playing in front of them."
Travis Head (Player of the Match): "Nice way to get underway. We've loved our time here so far. Its been a nice period for a couple of years. We have got some energy with the new guys who are too enthusiastic. Personally I would like to continue doing what I am doing.

It was a tricky start to lose Jake early. I wasn't sure of what the wicket was going to be like but with Marsh at the other end we had a nice little partnership. That's what my role is, to maximize the powerplay."

9:04 PM IST, 4:34 PM Local Time: A record breaking chase for Australia as they finish the proceedings off at the Grange in just 9.4 overs after Travis Head (80 off 25) and Mitchell Marsh (39 off 12) hammered the Scottish bowlers all over and above the park sealing a 7-wicket victory.

Australia won the toss and asked Scotland to bat first. The hosts got off to a good start but the Aussie bowlers dragged the scoring rate down and reduced the total to 154/9 which was once looking to scale 200.

Chasing the modest total, debutant opener Jake Fraser-McGurk fell for a duck in the very first over. Skipper Mitchell Marsh joined Travis Head on the pitch and kicked off the assault with the duo hitting 14 boundaries in a row to scale 113 runs in the powerplay.

Spinner Mark Watt was introduced after 6 overs and broke the stand straightaway as Marsh mishit one in the deep. Head was the next batter to depart but not before he hit the joint fastest 50 for Australia in 17 balls.

He was looking good for a ton but it was Mark Watt who got the better of the left handed batter claiming his wicket after he punished the attack with 80 in 25 balls hitting 12 fours and 5 maximums.

Josh Inglis (27* off 13) and Marcus Stoinis (8* off 5) found no difficulties in the remainder of the chase. Inglis displayed his attacking intent with 3 fours and a maximum, Stoinis finished the game off with a big hit over long on.

Stay tuned as we update you with the records and post match presentation in a short while.
9.4 J Jarvis to M Stoinis
6 SIX RUNS! Stoinis finishes off with a biggie! Short and outside the off stump, rocks back and hammers a flat batted down the ground. Brilliant connection off the middle of the bat, clears the long on boundary!
9.3 J Jarvis to J Inglis
1 Bangs it short outside the off stump, pulled across to deep square for a run.
9.2 J Jarvis to J Inglis
4 FOUR MORE! Thrashed away through the off side! Poor delivery, full and outside the off stump. It is there to be driven and Inglis takes the invite. Smashes it hard between the cover fielders and finds the vacant fence.
9.1 J Jarvis to J Inglis
4 FOUR RUNS!! Inventive from Inglis! Over the wicket. Good length outside off, angled back in. Inglis shuffles a long way into the off side and scoops it up and over the vacant fine leg region. Not a bad delivery but Inglis with good presence of mind.
Australia require 14 runs from 66 balls.
