10:45 PM IST and Local Time | Malda Smashers and Murshidabad Kings share the trophy in the first edition of Bengal Pro T20 2024.

Put into bat by Murshidabad Kings, Malda got off to a steady start thanks to Ranjot Singh Khaira's knock of 21 off 16. But after his dismissal none of the batters contributed to the team's cause. Murshidabad Spinners were at their best with their control in line and length in the middle overs and didn't let Malda to score runs swiftly. Dilshad Khan and Jeet Thakur picked up 2 wickets apiece in their spells.

Saurabh Singh managed to score 20 runs off 24 balls, and as a result Malda Smashers could only manage to score 116 runs for the loss of 8 wickets after the completion of first innings.

Chasing 117, Murshidabad Kings scored 7 runs in 1.1 overs , untill the rain gods arrived and played spoilsport in the grand finale. Drizzle continued for a long period of time and as a result both of the teams were declared joint winners of the tournament.
10:33 PM IST and Local Time | Alright guys just as we speak, the final announcement has been made. The Final Match has been abandoned due to rain. Malda Smashers and Murshidabad Kings have been announced joint winners of the Bengal Pro T20 League 2024.
Pritam : After posting only 116 runs on the board in a big final and being on the backfoot to ending up sharing the winners trophy, I think Malda Smashers will take that with both hands if it happens to be.
10:18 IST and Local Time | The rain has further intensified and it implies that we are going to have more delay in this game. The game will be shortened from this stage if it starts after the break.
