That’s all from today’s coverage of the T20 Blast 2024 South Group match between Middlesex and Gloucestershire from the County Ground, Chelmsford.

01:41 IST and 09:12 PM Local Time | Gloucestershire held their nerves and pull off a great comeback to win over Middlesex by 10 runs.

Here's a review of what happened in the match.

After opting to bat first, Gloucestershire openers were off to a flier start as they scored 65 runs for the first wicket. AN on the back of Cameron Bancroft's 87 off 54 balls, Gloucestershire post an above par score of 179.

Luke Hollman and Ryan Higgins bagged 2 wickets apiece.

Chasing 180, both the Middlesex opener's, Leus Du Plooy and Martin Andersson gave a sloid foundation for their team as they put up a 102 run stand for the first wicket.

After the departure of Martin Andersson, wickets tumbled at regular intervals and Middlesex were struggling to maintain the required rate.

Leus Du Plooy remained not out in the end on the score of 73 but couldn't get any desired support from the other end. As a result they threw away a match to Gloucestershire side who won by 10 runs.

Matt Taylor was the pick of the bowlers for his team as he gave just 17 runs and picked up 2 wickets in his quota of 4 overs.

6 SIXXX!!!! A maximum to end the chase but with a loss. Slightly short of length outside off, nipping away, Helm connects it perfectly and strikes it above the head of the bowler for six runs to the end the over and the innings. This won't be enough for Middlesex to win the match. At the end, Gloucestershire won the match by 10 runs.
19.5 D Payne to T Helm
4 FOURRR!!!! No point of finding a boundary at the moment. This can't help them win the match. Length on middle stump line, Helm strikes it towards left of deep midwicket region for four runs.
19.4 D Payne to Plooy
1lb Fuller onto the leg, Plooy looks to sweep it but misses it and gets hit on the front pad. One run leg bye.
19.3 D Payne to T Helm
