Chamari Athapaththu (91) and Vishmi Gunaratne (44) laid a solid foundation for the hosts, adding 93 runs for the first wicket. Sri Lanka lost a couple of more wickets in quick succession following the wicket of Gunaratne, but Nilakshi de Silva's (63) and Anushka Sanjeewani's (55) well-composed half-century helped the hosts cross the 270-run mark.
Ramharack bagged a couple of wickets for West Indies Women, while Qiana Joseph and Afy Fletcher shared a wicket apiece.
In pursuit of 275 runs, West Indies Women lost Rashada Williams (1) and Shemaine Campbelle (0) inside the six overs. Chedean Nation (46) and Stafanie Taylor (16) stitched 50+ runs for the third wicket to steady the ship but failed to carry the momentum for a long, with Nation falling just 4 runs short of her fifty.
