Preview by Ajay Pal Singh

After an abandoned game last evening, we are back with some Major League Cricket action and it will be Los Angeles Knight Riders taking on San Francisco Unicorns at the Church Street Park in Morrisville on Sunday (July 14).

Both teams are languishing in the bottom half of the points table. LA Knight Riders are in fourth place with one win and two defeats from their three games.

San Francisco Unicorns, on the other hand, are in fifth spot with one win and one loss from their opening two games in the tournament so far.

In their last match, LA Knight Riders lost to Seattle Orcas by 9 wickets. Batting first, they could only manage 168/5 from their 20 overs.

Jason Roy top-scored with a knock of 69 off 52 balls. However, none of the batters got going and it was a late flourish from David Miller (44 off 22) that took the total close to 170.

With the ball, only Spencer Johnson got a wicket as Ryan Rickelton and Quinton de Kock smashed the LA Knight Riders bowlers to all parts of the ground and cruised to a nine-wicket win.

On the other hand, San Francisco Unicorns are coming off a loss against Texas Super Kings.

After being asked to bat first, The Corey Anderson-led outfit was bowled out for a paltry total of 127 in 17.5 overs.

With the ball, only Hassan Khan (2/16) and Liam Plunkett (1/35) were the only bowlers who got wickets.

Faf du Plessis, Devon Conway, and Aaron Hardie scored 30s as TSK finished the game with 7.1 overs to spare.
