STAT ATTACK: For the 1st time ever four batters scored a century in a Women's ODI. This has happened only 3 times in Men's ODIs.
Harmanpreet Kaur (Player of the Match, India Captain): "Today both the teams scored approx 650 runs. Big achievement for women's cricket. Game went to last ball. We are really happy with the way both teams played today.

While batting we were up to the mark. Initially when the ball was moving the openers didn't throw the wickets away. When it got easier we took chances. Its a batting track its not easy to bowl but as a unit we need to rethink to what we need to do on a similar track.

In the batters' camp we played 3-4 games against boys. Smriti told me to ask you that she is a great bowler. Batting camp helped us a lot. Shafali also contributed with the ball. We are always ready to bowl and good to see her getting a wicket also.

The strike bowler is always Deepti. Whenever I give her the ball I know she will get a wicket. Today also she actually did that. I really want her to keep doing that. Credit goes to her for trusting the skill and doing the job.

In the first game I was batting really well and unfortunately got out. I told myself not to think anything negative. I trusted my skills, came early today and spent some time in the nets. I was ready to deliver for my team. Mind plays a big role in international cricket. I made sure I was mentally prepared and fresh."
Player of the Match: Harmanpreet Kaur
Gamechanger of the Match: Smriti Mandhana
Laura Wolvaardt (South Africa Captain): "Yeah, I think 4 runs is a bit heartbreaking in chase of 300 runs. At the halfway stage, it was easy to go in the shell but I liked how the team responded and especially Kapp.

We leaked a bit too much in the last 10. I think if it is only a 4 run loss you can look at the positives.  This was the best batting performance we have had for a while.

My feet are pretty sore, I am going to have a good sleep tonight and try to switch off."
HIGHEST MATCH AGGREGATE IN WOMEN'S ODIs:

678 - England v South Africa at Bristol, 2017

646 - India v South Africa at Bengaluru, TODAY*

641 - Australia v England at Christchurch, 2022

635 - Ireland v New Zealand at Dublin, 2018

633 - England v South Africa at Leicester, 2022
Pooja Vastrakar: "I wanted to bowl the deliveries asked by the coach and captain at 110%. Length ball was coming well on the bat. Sometimes your target balls are not on target, slower ones worked for me so I backed those.

It was a good game, both teams did well. Arundhati had a dream debut. Got a wicket in the powerplay. She did well with the ball and in the field as well."
Amol Muzumdar (India Head Coach): "My heartbeat is still faster but I have some grey hair so its normal. It was one of that moment where you have to let out your emotions. It was an exciting game to watch not from the dugout but from the crowd.

Some amazing things Pooja did in the last over. How you come back in a white ball game is very crucial. She proved she has a heart of gold. She bowled a spectacular final over with slower ones and cutters.

Smriti always pegged me to give her a couple of overs. We had a batters' camp and decided someone in the top 6 need to put their hand up and bowl some overs. We are glad and so is she that she got a wicket.

The only message was to hold your nerves. We weren't holding it in the dugout but still. Try and mixup the pace, that was the message sent across to Pooja and she delivered at the right time.

Arundhati had a brilliant game, her first in ODIs. She has played T20 but first ODI, fantastic stuff from here. Credit to the hard work she has put in the bowling camp and it is paying off now."
8:38 PM IST: What a thriller and India Women have sealed the series with a match to spare. It went down to the last ball and South Africa needed 5 runs for the win. However, Laura Wolvaardt, batting on 135, couldn't get her bat onto the ball and the hosts registered a win by 4 runs.

Earlier in the match, after being sent into bat, India Women posted a mammoth total of 325/3. Smriti Mandhana notched up yet another century and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur also roared back to form with an unbeaten hundred.

Shafali Verma failed yet again, scoring just 20 runs. Dayalan Hemalatha made 24. Nonkululeko Mlaba picked up a couple of wickets while Masabata Klaas got one as India smashed the South African bowlers to all parts of the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

In reply, Marizanne Kapp partnered with her skipper Wolvaardt and nearly pulled off an improbable chase.

The duo added 184 runs for the 4th wicket. Both batters scored centuries. It was the first instance in a Women's ODI where 4 batters scored a century.

Kapp lost her wicket for 114 while Wolvaardt remained unbeaten on 135. Deepti Sharma and Pooja Vastrakar both took two wickets apiece while Smriti Mandhana, after scoring a century with the bat, got a wicket in her first over.

The opening batter removed Sune Luus to get her first wicket in Women's ODIs. Arundhati Reddy picked up a wicket but went for plenty of runs. She gave away 62 runs in 8 overs. Asha Sobhana and Radha Yadav remained wicketless.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentation.

0 SWING AND A MISS! INDIA WIN! 79.5 kph. Super slower delivery pitching on good length and just inside the tramline outside the off stump. Wolvaardt swings but is far away from the line of the ball, hits thick air. India clinch the game on the final ball by 4 runs!
Wolvaardt scampers for a bye. Last ball 5 needed. If they get 4, it is a tie.

1b HATTRICK BALL! Full and wide outside off. De Ridder looks to ramp it over third man getting closer to the ball but misses. It rolls towards the keeper as the batters rush across to steal a bye. Richa Ghosh with a very poor throw taking a lot of time to release the ball from her glove.
Mieke de Ridder walks out to face the hat-trick ball.
