That's it folks. Rain had the last say in this context and we couldn't get any action. Disappointing for both teams who were looking for some points.

We will be back again with more action tomorrow. Till then, this is Ajay Pal Singh signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Aditya Agarwal and scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Cheers.
12:05 AM IST & 7:35 PM Local Time: The inevitable has happened. The match has been called off without a toss due to inclement weather in Cardiff.

11:34 PM IST & 7:04 PM Local Time: We have some good news folks. Looks like the rain has stopped and the ground staff is out in the middle and they have started the mopping-up work.

There will be a pitch inspection at 7:50 PM Local Time (12:20 AM IST).
We are still awaiting any update from the officials. It is still raining at the Sophia Gardens and we will update you as soon as we get any information.

Preview

In a South Group clash in the ongoing T20 Blast 2024, the Hampshire Hawks will take on Glamorgan at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on Thursday (June 13).

Both teams have played four matches so far and won two while losing two games. Because of a poor net run-rate, the Hawks are at 7th place while Glamorgan sit on 5th spot on the points table.

Glamorgan, in their last outing, lost to Essex Eagles in a close game by two wickets. Batting first, they posted 166 runs on the board for the loss of eight wickets.

Colin Ingram led the way with a 29-ball 52 and skipper Kiran Carlson scored 36 while opening the batting.

With the ball, Mason Crane and Marnus Labuschagne picked up four and three wickets respectively to keep Glamorgan in the hunt but teenager Luc Benkenstein saw his team over the line with an unbeaten knock of 35 off 21.

Hampshire Hawks, on the other hand, got thrashed by Somerset in their last outing in the tournament.

Bowling first, the Hawks conceded 241 runs. Tom Abell made an unbeaten 96 and Sean Dickson's 32-ball 65 took the defending champions' total past 240.

It was always going to be a tough task to chase 242 runs and despite a 77-run opening stand between James Vince and Ben McDermott, Hampshire could only muster 178 runs from their 20 overs.

McDermott was the top-scorer for the Hawks, scoring 46 off 29 but none of the other batters managed to convert their starts into a big one and Hampshire eventually fell 63 runs short of the target.

Hampshire Hawks have named an unchanged squad for this clash.

For Glamorgan, Harry Podmore has been left out of the squad because of the injury he suffered last week at Chelmsford.

They will also miss their star spinner Mason Crane, who will not be available due to loan rules.

Which team will win this exciting clash? To find out, tune in at 10 PM IST & 5:30 PM Local Time for its live coverage.
