Well that's all she wrote for today folks! Join us back tomorrow as the T20 Blast bandwagon rolls on along with the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup!

Until then, This is Anirudh Modi, signing off along with our scorers/analysts Chandan KR Singh, Manish Bishnoi and Asraj! See you on the next one!
Sean Abbott: "We came out against pretty good opposition in the defending champions. It was a tricky wicket and we had to bowl well. If they got one partnership, they would have got there and credit to the bowlers. You're coming up against some class bowlers and both of them put up a great partnership to help us setup a defendable total.

We know the sort of players they are and they would counter punch and not let us bowl the way we want, but the things went our way and we were very consistent and fielded pretty well to get the job done. Hell of a day to have our first home game, great weather and great atmosphere. The run-out was incredible and those sort of moments is when as a fielder your intent comes through. We have still played well across the 3 games but there are still a couple of gears we can go which is exciting."
1:14 AM IST, 8:44 PM Local Time | That's it! Surrey dominate Somerset with a 57 runs victory in Match 20 of T20 Blast 2024! Outplaying their opponents in all 3 departments to take home this morale boosting win.

Somerset won the toss and elected to bowl, and on the back of Jamie Smith and Ollie Pope's century run stand, Surrey managed to put 163 ALL OUT on the board with Jamie Smith top scoring with 87 runs from 38 balls.

Come the chase, Somerset never got going in the innings, losing wickets at regular intervals and failing to establish a partnership. Spencer Johnson got things going with the wickets of both openers and Tom Curran followed up with 3/16 from 2.4 overs to break the middle order of Somerset.

However, it was Sean Abbott who stole the show with 3/8 from 3 overs to clean up the innings and hand his team the victory! It was an abysmal batting performance from Somerset who were eventually bundled out for 106 runs enroute to a heavy defeat at the hands of Surrey.

Surrey will be high on confidence after this victory while Somerset will go back to the drawing board, hoping to get back on the winning track in their next game!
