Ravichandran Ashwin (Player of the Match and Dindigul Dragons Captain): "The match was full of ups and down and it was too close to call. Yes, we felt under pressure and tried our best to lose. Yes, we won in the end and need to have a chat to rectify things. The bowling was good but catching was bad today. Imperfect game. Fielding and batting was bad. We restricted them to an under par score. Yes, enjoyed batting out there.  Sometimes, need to take responsibility and do well. It was an imperfect day and we have to stand up better on the big day in Chennai. Hopefully, we can do that. Thanks to the crowd in Dindigul and they supported us really well out there. Hoping to get good support in Chennai and that's a ground that we like to play. Thank You."

Baba Aparajith(Chepauk Super Gillies Captain): "I think the pitch was slow and 157 was a good one. Credit goes to Ashwin, he took the powerplay's advantage very well. We kept our believe for the 20th over. Prem is a very talented cricketer. 

We have plethora of learnings from this tournament. Special mention to the boys and the management. Yes, I have finally got a fifty. I took a few balls in the start and kept scoring on the loose balls."
10:42 PM IST and Local Time: We have had a thrilling Eliminator clash in Dindigul where the match swung from one team to another and in the end, Dindigul Dragons who have held their nerves to win by 4 wickets with a ball to spare. Chepauk Super Gillies fought hard with the ball but were let down in the field at crucial moments and came second best in the end. They were short with the bat as well.  

Chasing 159 for the win, the Dragons lost R Vimal Khumar early. But then Ravichandran Ashwin came out and built a great partnership with Shivam Singh of 112 runs and set the match up for them. Ashwin was the aggressor and scored 57 off 35 balls. Shivam Singh top scored with 64 off 49 balls but he was involved in a crucial run out. The Dragons slipped after Ashwin fell and almost lost it. Sarath Kumar scored 12 as an Impact Player. Subodh Bhati was unbeaten on 14* while Dinesh Raj finished things off with a boundary to win the game in the end in the final over. 6 extras given by the fielding side. 

For Chepauk Super Gillies, Prem Kumar and Rahil Shah picked up a couple of wickets apiece. A wicket for Abhishek Tanwar while Baba Indrajith was run out first ball. They tried, but it was the Dragons who held their nerve in the end. 

Earlier in the game, Chepauk Super Gillies were asked to bat first by Dindigul Dragons. The CSG team lost Duraisamy early. Narayan Jagadeesan scored 25 off 16 balls. Baba Aparajith led from the front and scored a majestic 72 off 54 balls and held the innings together. Pradosh Ranjan Paul scored 19 off 19 balls while Abhishek Tanwar scored a quick cameo of 22* off 9 balls. 8 extras given by the fielding side. 

For the Dindigul Dragons, Sandeep Warrier picked up a couple of wickets while Varun Chakaravarthy, P Vignesh, and Subodh Bhati picked up a wicket apiece. 

So, Dindigul Dragons win this Eliminator match and advances to Qualifier 2 where they will face iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans on Friday night in Chennai. Stay tuned for the presentations.
