10:34 PM IST, Local Time: Trichy Grand Cholas thump Siechem Madurai Panthers by a massive margin of 67 runs and open their winning account in this TNPL. 

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Trichy Grand Cholas posted a hefty 193/2 in 20 overs. Waseem Ahmed played an unbeaten scintillating knock of 90 runs off 55 balls, while S Shyam Sundar and Sanjay Yadav contributed 30 and 60* runs, respectively. Waseem and Sanjay added an unbeaten 126 runs for the third wicket and helped their side cross the 190-run mark. 

Gurjapneet Singh and R Alexander grabbed a wicket apiece for Siechem Madurai Panthers. 

In pursuit of a hefty 193 runs, 
Siechem Madurai Panthers never looked comfortable in the chase and failed to stitch any significant partnership as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Hari Nishanth top scored with 39 runs to his name, while Akram Khan (11), Swapnil Singh (18), and Uthirasamy Sasidev (17) were the other three batters to reach the double digits. 

Siechem Madurai Panthers batters faltered miserably and were bundled out for 126 runs in 16.4 overs, losing by a massive margin of 67 runs. 

Sanjay Yadav and R Rajkumar shone with the ball for Trichy, claiming three wickets each. V Athisayaraj Davidson chipped in with a couple of wickets, while K Easwaran and P Saravana Kumar contributed one wicket each to Madurai's downfall.
