20:49 IST and 17:19 Local Time | Unfortunately, the match was abandoned due to bad weather and continuous rain. The series will now move to the 4th T20I on Thursday which is between Scotland and Netherlands. That’s it from today's coverage. This is Gourav Samal signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Saptak Sanyal and Ninaad Dixit, and scorer analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Thank you for joining us. Stay tuned for all cricketing actions around the world. Good night!
20:39 IST and 17:09 Local Time | Due to the persistent rainfall, today's game between Ireland and Scotland has been abandoned. Paul Stirling and Richard Berrington, the skippers of both sides, are shaking hands now. The drizzle is steady enough, and it is very gloomy. Umpires have opined that it is not safe for the players to play in the wet outfield with the World Cup around the corner.
20:26 IST and 16:56 Local Time | The drizzle is persistent and the inspection is very near. We might have more delay before the game starts.
19:56 IST and 16:26 Local Time | The rain has eased off it seems but the pitch is under cover. We will have an inspection on 20:30 IST and 17:00 Local Time.
19:44 IST and 16:14 Local Time | Nothing new to update about the rain. It is still drizzling lightly at the venue.
In the last game, Ireland have got a victory by just 1 runs against Netherlands. Mark Adair showed some terrific all-round performance and Fionn Hand was exceptional with the ball and that helped them to come out victorious.

Scotland started the series with a defeat against Netherlands. Vivian Kingma demolished their batting with a bowling figure of 4/21. But Richard Berrington and Matthew Cross performed better than the others with the bat. Their batting was the only takeaway for them from that game.

After a nail-biting win over the Netherlands, Ireland will take on Scotland in the third match of the Tri-Series at Sportpark Westvliet, Voorburg Cricket Club, on Monday (May 20).

Ireland defeated the hosts in a thriller on Sunday (May 19) as they got over the line by one run in their last fixture.

After being put in to bat, Ireland got off to a shaky start as they lost few quick wickets. In-form Andrew Balbirnie (11 off 14) perished in the fourth over as he was cleaned up by Vivian Kingma while Irish skipper Paul Stirling (11 off 8) departed in the very next over, bowled by Daniel Doram. The left-arm spinner, in the same over, picked up another wicket as he sent Harry Tector for a two-ball duck.

Lorcan Tucker was the top-scorer for the visitors with a knock of 40 off 30. Ireland kept losing wickets in the middle overs and were reeling at 83 for six in 14 overs. Mark Adair played a blinder of an innings, scoring 49 off just 24 deliveries to take Ireland to 150 for 8 in their 20 overs.

In reply, Netherlands, after a sedate start, lost their first wicket on the last ball of the powerplay. Michael Levitt departed for 19 off 24. In the next over, Fionn Hand dismissed Vikramjit Singh.

Max O'Dowd (33 off 30) and Bas de Leede (32 off 29) tried to keep the hosts in the game but Irish bowlers kept chipping away with wickets at regular intervals. Tim Pringle, who earlier took three wickets with the ball, kept the Netherlands' hopes alive till the last ball of the match.

With 17 needed off the last three balls, Mark Adair bowled a wide delivery and the batters scampered for a run. Pringle then blasted two sixes and brought the equation down to 3 off the last ball. Adair held his nerves and executed a perfect yorker to take his team over the line by a run.

Scotland, on the other hand, suffered a 41-run defeat against the Netherlands in their previous match.

The visitors had opted to bowl but failed to get early breakthroughs. Michael Levitt and Max O'Dowd put on a 68-run opening stand. Gavin Main broke the partnership in the 9th over. Michael Leask then dismissed the other opener.

Skipper Scott Edwards couldn't do much with the bat but Vikramjit Singh played a quick-fire knock of 39 off 18 to keep the momentum in the home side's favour.

Scotland brought things back in the last few overs to restrict the Netherlands to 167 for 8.

In response, their top-order faltered. Michael Jones, Ollie Harris and Charlie Tear all went back to the pavilion without reaching double figures.

Skipper Richie Berrington and wicketkeeper-batter Matthew Cross steadied the innings with a partnership of 66 runs for the fourth wicket. However, as soon as they lost Berrington, the rest of the batting line-up fell like nine pins. The visitors were eventually bowled out for 126.

Ireland would be looking to make it two wins in a row in the Tri-Series while Scotland would be aiming for a comeback after a disappointing performance in the first match.
