That’s all we have for you from this encounter between Pakistan Women and Nepal Women.

For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Soumarya Dutta who, along with scorer/analysts Yogesh Kumar brought all the actions of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Nida Dar (Pakistan Women Captain)- "A lot of positives are there. We bowled really well and batted extremely well. We should carry the momentum forward. The management tries their best to help us out and we try new strategies to help us to get results. The coaches employ different tactics as well. Gul Feroza and Muneeba put on a great partnership and took the momentum."
Gul Feroza (Player of the Match) : "I think its a very memorable moment for me to get my first half century and that too in a winning cause. This was my natural game to play aggressively without any pressure. Cover drive was my favourite shot in my Innings tonight. I will dedicate this award to my parents."
Player of the Match- Gul Feroza
Indu Barma (Nepal Women Captain)- "We tried our best but Pakistan is a really good side. We couldn't execute our plans and that costed us. Our set batters couldn't get more runs and that turned out to be the turning point. Pooja and Kabita did well and we are proud of them. Looking forward to playing against India."
Time for the post match presentations.
21:32 IST & Local Time | A dominating performance by Pakistan Women as they defeated Nepal Women by 9 wickets. It was a must win encounter for Pakistan and they got over the line comprehensively by chasing down the target with 49 balls to spare.

Earlier in the day, Nepal Women were put into bat by Nida Dar. Nepal did not get off to a good start at all with the bat as they lost 3 wickets inside the powerplay itself. The in-form batter, Samjhana Khadka was dismissed for 3 and their skipper, Indu Barma for a two ball duck.

The partnership between Puja Mahato (25 off 32) and Kabita Joshi (31 off 23) added 34 runs together as they managed to cross the 100 run mark and setup a target of 109 for Pakistan Women. Sadia Iqbal was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan with figures of 2/19.

In reply, both the Pakistan openers came out with some positive intent. They played their shots from ball one and cruised towards the target in quick fashion. Gul Feroza scored 57 off 35 balls while her partner, Muneeba Ali was unbeaten on 46* off 34 balls.

Pakistan Women have made a brilliant comeback after losing their first game of the Women’s Asia Cup 2024 to India Women. A thumping victory tonight will give them a massive boost ahead of their final game of the group stages day after tomorrow against UAE Women.
That's the winning runs from the bat of Muneeba Ali as Pakistan Women win by 9 wickets.
