That's it from the coverage of this game. Punjab Kings have been eliminated while Royal Challengers Bengaluru keeps their hopes alive in the competition. Tomorrow, we will have Gujarat Titans up against Chennai Super Kings live from Ahmedabad in an important game. Do join us for this clash and for other fixtures around the globe, stick around to our network.

For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentators AkshayaKrishna Polya and Akshay Bhide alongside scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Punjab Kings has failed to make the playoffs for the 10th consecutive time.
Virat Kohli wins his 18th Player of the Match award in IPL.
Virat Kohli (Player of the Match): "No, not at all. For me, it's quality over quantity works at my age of 36. Practice less and then certain aspects you want to get better. Need to improve on things as we go along.

I brought out the slog sweep and brought it out. I did not practice it at all. I want to keep getting the gaps. Those shots helps me maintain good strike rate in the middle overs.

Honestly, the only way to go through the tournament is being honest with ourselves. We were awful in the first half and then had a chat amongst ourselves. It started in Kolkata and now it's going on from there. We bowled really well in the Kolkata game.

We want to make our fans proud and raise our levels. We are on a roll now but we have to depend on other factors as well. That's the sad thing. We do not want to depend on other results but that's the way it is. Thank You."
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: VIRAT KOHLI
Faf du Plessis (Royal Challengers Bengaluru Captain): "Yeah, it was a really good game. After losing the toss and to get to 240 was a very good effort.

We thought we were making the same mistakes again and again. With the ball, we didn’t get enough wickets in the powerplay. We thought on how we could get wickets in the powerplay. We changed the method and it has worked very well for us.

I have been playing the game for a long time. You need the form to find your feet in the competition. We had a few guys who were looking for some runs and we had a few guys who were looking for wickets. But everyone has chipped in with the bat in hand and in the bowling, it has been the same.

I just keep saying it that we just have to keep playing with the style that we want to play. It’s really important for us to focus on ourselves. It is a bit of a cliché but it’s important to stay focused and if we can do that, we can prove that we are a really good team."
Most Fours of the Match: Rilee Rossouw (9 Fours)
Super Sixes of the Match: Virat Kohli (6 Maximums as had Rajat Patidar, but Kohli had more runs than his teammate)
Fantasy Player of the Match: Virat Kohli (141 Points)
Electric Striker of the Match: Rajat Patidar (55 off 23 balls, at Strike Rate of 239.13)
11:55 PM IST and Local Time: We are ready with the post-match ceremony...
Swapnil Singh (RCB): "Thanks a lot. Enjoyed a lot. The ball was swinging and then had to adjust accordingly. Pressure is less because everyone is going for runs.

Mentally, it was relaxing to thing about it. They will go for it and we may get wickets.

I mean like, after the first half we had a meeting that we did not use the spinners properly. We are using the spinners well and is doing well.

As we are on a roll, we have to hit the right areas and lengths. If the batter is going well, then give it to him. It's all about having the right lines and lengths and stick to the basics and that helps me stay calm."
Sam Curran (Punjab Kings Captain): "Slightly frustrating and obviously disappointing. A lot of positive signs throughout but not enough to get over the line."

"Wasn't a distraction (on taking captaincy mid tournament due to Shikhar Dhawan's injury) as we knew we had a talented group."

"I guess I really enjoyed leading a great bunch of guys. We got two more games coming up and want to finish on a high. You got to win those games, keep training hard. The guys will be gutted and we want to apologise to the fans who will be disappointed with the way our season has gone. Got to comeback stronger next year."

"We have got record chases but lost games as well. We have to keep chatting, there's a lot of experience around and we have to keep learning. The sun will shine again. We have to keep working hard."
11:42 PM IST and Local Time: Punjab Kings become the second team after Mumbai Indians to be knocked out of IPL 2024! Royal Challengers Bengaluru stay alive in the competition with a comprehensive 60-run win at Dharamsala.

Earlier in the evening, Punjab Kings won the toss and opted to bowl first. Vidhwath Kaverappa, on debut, bowled well and had three catches going down of his bowling, and Virat Kohli survived on two occasions. Faf du Plessis and Will Jacks were the victims of Kaverappa, who shone on his first outing, bowling all four in one spell and finishing with 2/36.

Kohli made full use of the dropped chances and went berserk, with Rajat Patidar giving a pack of punch to PBKS, scoring a blistering half-century off just 21 balls. The RCB opener and Patidar added a 76-run partnership for the third wicket before the latter fell on 55 off 23 balls at the halfway stage to Sam Curran before the hailstorm halted the proceedings for around 30 minutes.

VK continued his brilliant season with yet another half-century, also maintained his flow against the spinners and smacked 7 fours and 6 maximums in his innings of 92 from 47 balls. He was involved in a 92-run partnership with Cameron Green for the fourth wicket. The Australian was on the top of his game, hitting a 27-ball 46 before getting out on the final ball of the innings.

The former RCB skipper holed out in the deep off Arshdeep Singh eight short of his 100th competitive hundred, while Harshal Patel ran riots in the final over, picking up three wickets. Dinesh Karthik’s (18 off 7) crucial cameo gave the impetus as RCB finished on 241/7 in 20 overs, the highest T20 score at Dharamsala.

Swapnil Singh gave RCB a perfect start, trapping Prabhsimran Singh dead plumb in front of the stumps in the first over. Jonny Bairstow and Rilee Rossouw joined hands, adding 65 runs for the second wicket. Lockie Ferguson's slower delivery had the number of Jonny B on 27 off 16 balls.

Rossouw went on to score his first half-century of this season, hammering 61 off 27 balls, and had Shashank Singh (37 off 19) going along at the rate of knots at the other end. There were a couple of pauses in play due to respective injuries for the batters, following which both were dismissed. The spinners came in handy in the middle phase and hunted wickets in clusters. Swapnil finished with 3-0-28-2, while Karn Sharma picked up two scalps despite going for few.

Shashank was the victim of Virat Kohli's terrific athleticism, as the latter hit the bull's eye to see the former short of his ground. PBKS collapsed big time in the second half of the innings and lost wickets like a pack of cards, eventually getting all-out for 181 in 17 overs. Siraj finished with 4-0-43-3, while Ferguson grabbed two scalps.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentations!
