Marcus Stoinis (Player of the Match): "Look I think in these competitions, there are many better opening partnerships than me. But I'm comfortable when I get some time to build my innings.

It's not go go go. You have to take the precautions. You have to pick the bowlers you will go against. There are many ebbs and flows and you have to take control of that. On the inside, the planning is structuring. You like some bowlers and you don't like some.

I do think the game is changing. Watching the other teams, it is certainly changing. The impact rule is also playing a part. I see the teams playing aggressively and taking down the opposition in the powerplays. Maybe, that's the way to go.

(On giving a message to Cricket Australia for not getting a contract) I have got a great relation with the coach. Not getting the contract, I knew it way before and I'm okay with it. It's about giving the younger guys a chance to take up my spot and take the team ahead. On the playing front, I would like to have a go. I started my career pretty much here and hopefully, I'll finish it here.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Marcus Stoinis
KL Rahul (Lucknow Super Giants Captain): "Very very special when its a game like that. 210+ runs scored either side. Felt like the most part of the innings when we were batting we were behind in the game and to pull out a victory like that feels special.

Both teams starting form zero, they got to a good start and put pressure on our bowlers. Getting 210 on that pitch was... I didn't think it was a 200 run pitch. 170 - 180 would have been a good total. All credit to Pooran and Stoinis the way he batted. Not just power hitting but smart batting, he picked his bowlers. Everyone chipped in.

We wanted to be a lot braver as a team. We have 2 games at home and 1 away where we failed to get past 170. We felt we need a power hitter in the top 3 to capitalize the powerplay. Top 3 goes really hard so you still have Pooran and couple of Indian guys who can play around.

T20 cricket's changed a lot in the past few years. You have to go a bit harder in the powerplay. With the impact player rule you can have some freedom to take on the game. I've been working on my game. I am happy that things are coming out well.

There is no set plan [on Pooran's role]. Apart from the openers everyone is ready to do their job. Last game Pooran walked in at number 3, we want to keep it changing. T20 is changing and everyone needs to be ready and flexible.

I hope I get the catch of the tournament award. It was a good catch."

Deepak Hooda (LSG): "Thoughts were pretty clear. We needed 14 per over. We were looking to hit the gaps, that's all.

I don't have any option. Run rate was like that. These guys are tough to handle but that's what IPL brings. Stoinis was too good, played like a warrior. He was there from the 2nd over till the end. Lots of learning from him and he's a kind of a motivator.

We were 100% in the game. Everyone was pretty sure to have a good fight and win the game.

These 2 points make a big difference. We are in the business end of the tournament. CSK are playing so well, its a good feeling."
