Jasprit Bumrah (POTM): "This was a close game. It was a much closer game than we thought.

I want to make an impact early on! In this format, the ball swings for two overs, and you want to make use of that. In Test cricket, you can keep bowling, but in this format, you need to make the most of it while it lasts. When I want to bowl more, I play Test cricket. That fulfils my desires.

This format is a little difficult for the bowlers because the batsmanship is going over, plus the time restrictions and the Impact Player rule. The batting lineup becomes deeper and deeper. But that's not in your control. What you can do is prepare your best and back yourself. Go out there and give your best. I try to relay messages from wherever I am on the field. You don't want to give too many messages in the heat of the moment."
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: JASPRIT BUMRAH (3/21). He also gets the Purple Cap!
Hardik Pandya(Mumbai Indians Captain):" Yeah I mean, obviously a very good game of cricket. I think everyone's nerves got tested. We had a chat before this game, that everyone's character will be tested today.

I mean it's natural that you think that you are ahead in the game but at the same time you know IPL has this tendency of producing games like this, where the opposition can come back into the game any time. And Ashutosh and Shashank batted really well for them. Ashutosh was unbelievable I mean coming in and playing like that and hitting almost every ball from the middle of the bat. He knew the fact what he wanted to do, I am really happy for him.

We mentioned in the timeout that it doesn't matter how good we look. It's just that we keep scraping and we keep fighting in the game. Yeah, there are quite a few areas, like in the bowling we need to stop bowling soft bowls, yeah batters played really well but we bowled a lot of soft balls that led the game to go deep. Nevertheless in the end win is a win!"

Time for the post-match presentation
Gerald Coetzee (MI): "Great game! Feeling great as well. What a game!

After losing the toss, we started off well. Cricket is a very funny game, and we thought we had the game covered. They came back well, and it was a see-saw battle.

(On him stopping a ball at deep third with full body behind it) It was pressure! I was fielding at deep third man. It was spinning at me. I just wanted to field it cleanly, and it didn't matter how I stopped it. I just wanted to stop it somehow.

It was completely different from anything I had experienced. I don't even know how to describe it; it's hard to explain.

(on bowling pace) You need to eat a lot of Biltong (meat), and the wheels will come up."
