Okay! That's a nail-biter if you want to call it. A game where the scores hovered around 150, RR held their nerves to seal the deal in a last-over thriller. Tomorrow, we have a cracking double-header coming our way, with KKR facing LSG at Eden Gardens in the afternoon game before the El Clasico between MI and CSK gets underway at Wankhede in the evening.

For now, this is me AkshayaKrishna Polya signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide, who, alongside our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav brought you all the live-action of this mouth-watering fixture. We will meet again. Until then, its cheers!
Shimron Hetmyer (POTM): "Yeah, I am alright, but there was an inside edge that deflected onto my knee. But I will be alright.

I practice hard. I try to back myself for batting in these situations in the nets. I try as much as possible in the nets. I try my best to hit sixes. Sometimes, it comes off; sometimes, you can't. Happy to pull off a victory for my team tonight.

After a couple of balls, the pressure was creeping on me, but I was as clear as possible about my job.

After missing a couple of deliveries first up in the final over, Boult came to me and said you have got this, mate.

Yeah, definitely. I would have taken a single if it was there on offer with two needed off two. We (Boult and me) spoke about it. Single or double whatever was offered at that stage, we were going for it. We were looking to get it tied  A full toss came my way, and I was like (chuckles), backed myself and went for the six.

Being away from family is the only way you can keep yourself upbeat, by just enjoying every moment and doing everything you need to. I am waiting for my wife to come; she will do it (chuckles on asking about dying the hair pink)."
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Shimron Hetmyer
Sanju Samson (Rajasthan Royals Skipper): "We had some funny incidents from last year. But I'm really happy that everyone is eager to go and catch it. It gets bit tough when the stadium is full. But I have to tell my fast bowlers that it is easy for me to catch with gloves on (laughs).

I don't know what's it with us and Punjab. The games are getting tense. It's quite funny and it's good to see.

Hetmyer has been doing that for years and years. His composure and skills really help us. It was great to see him and Powell do those things.

Tanush is a very interesting player. He had an outstanding Ranji trophy and everyone is impressed on seeing him bat in the nets. We had a proper settled batting line-up and we didn't want to disturb that for one game.

It was good to see Yashasvi get back scoring runs. He scored those 30-40 runs and it was good to see him get back in the groove.

Can't stay relaxed in this type of tournament. We did many right things in the last game but still lost. We just have to keep our heads down and keep doing the things.
Most Fours of the Match: Yashasvi Jaiswal (4 Fours)
Super Sixes of the Match: Ashutosh Sharma (3 Sixes as did Hetmyer but had more runs than the West Indian)
Fantasy Player of the Match: Kagiso Rabada (76 Points)
Electric Striker of the Match: Shimron Hetmyer (27* off 10 balls at a strike rate of 270)
11:28 PM IST, Local Time: Time for the post-match presentation.
Seven of the last eight meetings between these two sides have been last over finishes.
Rovman Powell (RR): "It’s important for us to get two points on the road. To get the separation on the points table and we played some good cricket today.

The good thing is that we both were calm. We decided to play proper cricketing shots and it was about running as fast as possible between the wickets.

It’s a challenge. In the previous games, the lower-order or middle-order batters haven’t played many balls. When I walked out to bat, I reminded myself that I have to do the job.

Jos is doing fine. He will recover fully in the next two days and thankfully, we don’t have any games during that time. He will be back in the next game. I believe that they are our teammates. If I’m not getting a game, the team is playing well."
Sam Curran (Punjab Kings Skipper): “The wicket was slightly slower. We didn’t start well with the bat but managed to finish it well. It was a really good effort from the lower-order guys to get us to that total. We just stuck in it and managed to get that close with wickets but disappointed to finish on the losing side.

We would have loved a few more runs. We bowled well and fielder well but really enjoyed it and will look to bounce back in the next game.

I guess three games is a hard way to see at it and adapt to the conditions. But we won the first game here and lost the next two. Small margins in T20 cricket is not much to think about and we will look to bounce back."
11:13 PM IST and Local Time: A run chase that shouldn't have gone down to the wire at the start went until the last over, with Shimton Hetmyer finishing things off in style in favour of the Rajasthan Royals. They defeated PBKS by 3 wickets with a ball to spare to come back on the winning track!

Earlier in the match, RR won the toss and opted to bowl first, restricting the hosts to a below-par score of 147/8 in 20 overs. None of the Punjab Kings' top and middle-order batters helped their team's cause as RR kept the lid on the scoring and also picked up wickets at regular intervals, reducing the opponents to 70/5. Liam Livingstone (21 off 14) and Jitesh Sharma (29 off 24) did try to push on the scoring but didn't get enough support from the rest of the batters. Hence, they were forced to bring Ashutosh Sharma as an impact player, who made a real impact with an unbeaten 31 off 16 balls to help the franchise post a total close to 150.

For RR, Keshav Maharaj and Avesh Khan picked up 2 wickets each, while Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Sen grabbed a wicket each.

Chasing an average target, RR got off to a decent start, with Yashasvi Jaiswal and the new opener Tanush Kotian adding 56 runs for the first wicket. While Jaiswal (39 off 28) tried to be positive, Kotian (24 off 31) struggled to get going on his IPL debut. Livingstone knocked over the scratchy-looking debutant.

Sanju Samson (18 off 14) and Riyan Parag (23 off 18) fell under the pressure of raising the required rate due to the ball holding up on the wicket, making the stroke players hard to hit from the middle.

KG Rabada (4-0-18-2) dismissed Jaiswal and Samson to put the pressure back on the visitors.

With increasing required run-rate, RR always had that one player raising their hands upon the occasion. Shimron Hetmyer (27* off 10) and Rovman Powell (11 off 5) made sure that they didn't bottle the chase. Sam Curran's two late wickets did push Hettie a bit, but Arshdeep Singh failed to defend 10 off the final over, with the left-handed West Indian hitting two sixes off it to seal the deal.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentations!
Akshay: HETTIEEE, Take a Bow!!! He is calm as a cucumber and takes his side across the line. Brilliant composure shown from the southpaw. He gets very limited opportunities with the bat but he has yet again showed his match-finishing capabilities.
19.5 A Singh to S Hetmyer
6 Shimron Hetmyer nails the final nails in PBKS' coffin! Arshdeep fails to defend 2 in 2 as he misses the yorker by a mile. Bowls a full toss angling into the leg stump. Easy pickings for Hettie, who swivels and uses the pace and angle of the bowler to pull it over fine leg for a boundary. Replays confirm that it has hit the boundary cushion on the full, and Hettie finishes things off in style with a maximum! RR are back on the winning track with a 3-wicket triumph over PBKS!
Ohh Noo!!! A fumble in the deep from Curran and it allows the batters to complete two runs. Hetmyer is back on strike. The Royals require 2 from 2 now. This is nail-biting stuff.
