That's all from the Final T20I encounter between Pakistan and New Zealand that ended in 2-2.

For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of co-commentators Ninaad Dixit and Sourya Chowdhury, who, along with scorer/analyst Raju Khariya, brought all the actions of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Both the captains share the series trophy! 2-2 a well deserved result to a well fought series.
Babar Azam (Pakistan Captain): "Used the bowlers according to the situation. Fast bowlers were also getting help early on. When Usama bowled after the powerplay he got some help so we used the spinners more. We bowled Imad very late and used the bowlers according to the situation. 4 spinners were used on this surface.

Saim Ayub bowled with the new ball in the PSL. Imad can bowl anywhere, has a lot of experience. Usama bowled really help according to the conditions.

New ball comes to the bat nicely. Some moisture is created because of dew. The older balls comes a bit slower. We tried to utilize the powerplay. We were 10 runs short to what we aimed. We recovered well. It was a par score but 10-20 more runs would have been better.

We have tried different combinations with the bat and ball both. We want to see where we stand, where our bench strength stands. Lot of positive signs."
Michael Bracewell (New Zealand Captain): "I think the result is a pretty fair reflection of the series. The last two matches were closely fought. We learnt a lot in this series.

Losing the wickets during the middle overs cost us. Usama Mir and Shaheen Afridi bowled really well.

Lots of positives to take away from this series. Exposure to a quality side and our debutants did really well.

Great challenge to tour Pakistan. Playing against such a tough team and adapting to the different wickets. This was a great learning curve and hope to be back here soon."

Shaheen Shah Afridi (Player of the Match, Player of the Series) : "I am trying to get back to my best, and I always try to help my team by picking wickets whenever I am handed over the ball. I am always pushing myself to give my 100%, whether it's bowling, batting or fielding.

I watched the New Zealand team bowl in the first Innings, and the ball was keeping a bit low, so I tried bowling back-of-a-length deliveries wicket to the wicket in my first spell, and I got success. At the death, Yorker is my strength, and I tried to execute that in my 2nd spell.

I am not disappointed of not picking up the 5th wicket, even if I get 1 wicket and the team wins, I am more than happy for that."
Shaheen Shah Afridi is also the player of the series for his 8 wickets!

11:00pm Local Time and 11:30pm IST: Sourya: At the end of a scintillating fifth T20I at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, the hosts Pakistan have prevailed by just nine runs over a dogged New Zealand side that dug deep in their pursuit of a steep target 179.

Though the Kiwis were rocked back early by Shaheen Afridi, they dominated the powerplay thanks to some aggressive and intrepid batting by Tim Seifert (52 off 33). But he departed bowled to the excellent Usama Mir and a bit of a collapse ensued with the Pakistani spinners ruling the roost and Afridi coming back to wreak havoc.

But just when it seemed the target was a bit too far into the distance with the Kiwis stranded at 137/8, Josh Clarkson (38* off 26) launched a stunning rearguard assault to bring them within touching distance. But in the end the flurry of wickets in the middle meant the Kiwis ran out of men and fell short by nine runs.

For the hosts, Afridi was excellent with figures of 4/30, while Mir the leggie got two.

Earlier, put into bat first, the Men in Green were propelled by the class of Babar Azam (69 off 44), who used both timing and power to pierce as well as clear the field.

Fakhar Zaman played a great foil to his captain, making 43 and Shadab Khan came in later to smack 15 off 5 to take the hosts to 178.

Will O'Rourke with figures of 1/25 was New Zealand's best bowler, while four other bowlers all picked up a scalp each.

In the end, though, New Zealand had conceded a few runs too many.

This win means the hosts have tied the series at 2-2.
Pakistan Win a nail biting contest and have ended the T20I Series 2-2.
19.2 M Amir to J Clarkson
1W GONE! Pakistan win the game and level the series! Full length delivery on the middle stump. Hits it straight to long on. Wants to head back for the second run. O'Rourke charging back at the bowling end is nowhere near the crease. Amir collects the throw and takes the bails off! Pakistan win by 9 runs! A superb victory for the hosts in the last match of the series.
