So, RCB lose their second game at home. They will have to get back to drawing board quickly. The IPL caravan moves back to Visakhapatnam tomorrow where the Delhi Capitals will face the Kolkata Knight Riders. Do join us for that clash.

For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentators AkshayaKrishna Polya and Sidharth Gulati and scorer Paras Yadav. Until next time, cheers and good bye.
Mayank Yadav (POTM): "Thank you so much, sir. I got two Player of the Match awards in two matches. But I am really happy to see my team winning both matches.

My aim is to play for my country for as many years as possible. This is just the beginning. The work to achieve the bigger goal of playing for the country will continue.

The wicket to get rid of Cameron Green is my favourite one out of three.

There are a lot of things you need to make a habit of to bowl fast. You need to take care of your diet, sleep cycle, your recovery, training, and a few more stuff. I take diet as one of the most important factor and also focus on recovery."
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: MAYANK YADAV
KL Rahul (Lucknow Super Giants Skipper): "Overall, a really good performance. It was obvious that the wicket was a bit tricky. Help for the fast bowlers and it was a bit sticky. By the time the opposition's bowlers got what length to bowl here, we had already scored a good amount of runs. We decided to use the wicket. Not go for the yorkers straightaway. Here in Chinnaswamy, the pressure can get to you and we did well to bowl the right lengths.

(On keeping to Mayank Yadav) One ball hit me really hard. But it was nice to see Mayank bowl. He has waited patiently for two years. He missed out due to an injury. He spent some time in Bombay and it was great to see him. It was nice to see him bowl from 20 yards behind the stumps.

(On impressive record while defending) Every time we come to the ground, we have meetings. The coach or the analyst ask what I want to do on winning the toss. I get tempted to say bowl first because that's the trend in T20 cricket. But our record speaks differently. The good thing I'm doing is losing the tosses and I'm getting to bat first (laughs).

We won't call it a setback. How we view our games is crucial. The way we stay in the game. If the opposition blasts us out, there may be time to speak. But it's okay do things wrong because the opposition also comes to the ground and try to win. In the first game, we tried hard but they bowled. It was their home ground. But since then, we have been doing well. Powerplay bowling is a big question mark for us in two seasons. Trying to fix those things. We gone with spin in this game and there is an obvious match-up against spin. We also got wickets and we will try picking up wickets in the powerplays."
Most Fours in the Match: Quinton de Kock (8 boundaries)
Super Sixes of the Match: Quinton de Kock (5 maximums)
Fantasy Player of the Match: Quinton de Kock (113 points)
Electric Striker of the Match: Mahipal Lomror (33 off 13 at a SR of 253)
Time for the post-match presentation...

Mayank Yadav
Quinton de Kock (LSG): "Yeah, I enjoyed it out there. It's always a tough job batting first here in Chinnaswamy. 180 would be usually not enough. You never what's enough here. Because it held up a touch and bounced as well, 180 was a par score. I couldn't play freely. It made my batting a bit difficult. I had to control the innings and bat for longer. We lost wickets at bad times, so I had to bat longer.

We are glad to have him (Mayank Yadav) on our team. He's bowling rockets at the moment, keeping things simple. Youngsters bowling express pace can get caught up in trying different things.

That's why he (Nicholas Pooran) is paid big bucks, I guess (on Pooran's hitting).

When I'm playing anywhere in the world, as an opener, I have to figure out my conditions. Anywhere I bat, I always get different conditions. Even if you play in the same stadium, it's never the same."
Faf du Plessis (Royal Challengers Bengaluru Skipper): “Yeah. Spot on. Two good players. Quinton de Kock was on 20 or 25 and Nicky P on two and we dropped them. 60-65 extra runs and in IPL, mistakes like these can cost you.

(On facing Mayank Yadav) Initially, for any young pacer to come through, to face them with a new action, it takes some time for the batters to adjust to see how the ball comes out. I was impressed with his pace. But what’s more impressing is his control of lengths. That’s hard to get with extra pace.

I think we were not good in bowling. We were poor in the powerplay. We gave too many loose balls in their strong areas. Glenn Maxwell brought back really well. In the death overs, we did well to restrict them. But while chasing, you need partnerships. That’s basic. Disappointing that we didn’t get it with the bat and we need some strong characters in the dressing room to chase it down."
23:08 IST and Local Time | That's it. Lucknow Super Giants complete a 28-run victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who now have lost two consecutive home matches so far this season. Credit to Quinton de Kock, Marcus Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran, and Mayank Yadav for rising to the occasion.

Chasing a target of 182, RCB skipper Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and Cameron Green departed cheaply.
LSG began with two left-arm spinners against Kohli and du Plessis. M Siddharth bowled quick and kept things tight by not allowing any width for the RCB openers. The Tamil Nadu spinner then removed the in-form Kohli in the 5th over. Mayank delivered the final over of the powerplay, and the hosts lost du Plessis and Maxwell in the same over. Nothing worked for RCB, who then slumped to their third defeat. Rajat Patidar and Mahipal Lomror did play a few shots, but their dismissals ended any hopes of an RCB win.

Earlier, after being asked to bat, LSG posted a commanding 181/5 on what was a two-paced surface. LSG opener de Kock was off to a blazing start and put on a fifty-plus partnership with KL Rahul. The LSG skipper and Devdutt Padikkal were soon back in the hut, but that didn’t dent LSG’s confidence as the visitors’ recovery was led by de Kock and Stoinis’ fiery fifty-plus partnership. Glenn Maxwell broke that stand, but what hurt RCB the most was Pooran being handed a lifeline in the 17th over by Anuj Rawat. The West Indies hitter made the home team pay by smashing 5 sixes in the last 12 balls to take LSG past the 180-mark, which proved to be enough for the Rahul-led team.
WHAT A CATCH FROM NICKY P. It had to be him to put an end to this contest. An outstanding running catch from him at long on. He runs hard to his left and grabs it before tumbling.
19.4 N ul to M Siraj
W WICKETTT!!! That's in the air, and a brilliant catch from Nicky P in the deep to finish it off with 2 balls to spare! Slower ball. Fuller-length delivery at the stumps. 103.1 kmph. Siraj, on the front foot, swings very hard, miscuing it down the ground towards straight long-on. Pooran, runs to his left from long-on, keeps his eyes on it and grabs a flying catch with both his hands. He maintains his balance and completes a good catch to hand RCB back-to-back defeats at home! RCB did well to go past 150 but hands down, LSG have been the dominating side in this game.
