That's it from the coverage of this magnificent semi final clash with the final all set to be played between India and Australia on Sunday. Join us for the summit clash and for all other fixtures around the globe and across formats, stick around to our network. For now, I am Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide alongside scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Hugh Weibgen (Australia Captain): "Never in doubt today. Believed in Ralf and Vidler to get the job done. It was a close game and we had to really adjust out there. Yes, we had to believe in ourselves. We showed tremendous character out there to win the game. We kept losing wickets but kept fighting and that was the character of the side. Ollie Peake was so calm under pressure and credit to him for winning us the game and everyone contributed. India is a quality and class side and we have to be at our best to win on Sunday. Guys will be up for it."
Saad Baig (Pakistan Captain): “It’s difficult to speak. But I feel we were short by 10-20 runs. But we tried our best but they played well. Boys fought really well. The way they bowled in the end was great.

We fought really well as a team. But due to the short of runs, we finished on the losing side. The lack of runs, yes, maybe 15-20 runs. But we fought well. I think Australia played really well.

Our bowling was outstanding throughout the tournament. I’m really proud of my team. We know it’s a game. One team has to win. One team has to lose. It’s a part of the game and we have to accept it."
Tom Straker (Player of the Match): "Yeah. Well it went closer than we expected. Once I got out, everyone were sitting and not moving and it was intense.

The last two wickets while bowling were good. It helped us finish it quickly and the coach was happy.

(On registering the best figures in semi-finals and finals) I didn't know that. But I'll take that one.

Probably not. We have had a good confidence leading up to the tournament and we will keep it the same."
Player of the Match: Tom Straker
9:15 PM IST, 5:45 PM Local Time: Phew, what a game we have had in Benoni. The match went down to the wire and it went from one team to another. Australia have somehow held their nerve to win the game by the barest of margins. They win by 1 wicket with 5 balls to spare to set up a summit clash with India on Sunday. Heartbreak for Pakistan in the end.

Chasing 180 for the win, Australia got off to a steady start as they did not lose a wicket in the powerplay but lost their way thereafter. Sam Konstas was the first to go for 14. Harry Dixon held the innings together with his 50 off 75 balls. Ollie Peake scored an invaluable 49 off 75 balls while Tom Campbell scored 25 off 42 balls. The Aussies lost their way towards the end but it was the vice-captain Rafael MacMillan who held his nerve with his 19* off 29 balls and got the winning runs in the end. Vidler played his part with 3* off 9 balls as well as he held on towards the end. 9 extras given by the fielding side as Australia get over the line by the barest of margins by one wicket.

Pakistan bowlers tried their best defending a paltry total out there. Ali Raza was the pick of them as he brought his team back in the game with figures of 4/34 in 10 overs. Arafat Minhas supported him well with figures of 2/20 in 10 overs. A wicket apiece for Ubaid Shah and Naveed Ahmed Khan who bowled an economical spell as well. Zeeshan was wicketless today. They tried their best, but lost to the better team on the day.

Earlier in the game, Pakistan were asked to bat first by Australia and did not get off to the best possible start. Shahzaib Khan laboured his way to 4 off 30 balls before being dismissed. Shamyl Hussain was the first to go as he scored 17 off 23 balls. Awais held the innings together with his 52 off 91 balls. They lost a lost of wickets in the middle overs and never got a good partnership going. Arafat Minhas scored 52 off 61 balls and looked really good out there. But there was no contribution from the other batters. 20 extras given by the fielding side as Pakistan were bowled out for 179 in 48.5 overs.

Tom Straker was the pick of the bowlers with magical figures of 6/24 in 9.5 overs. A wicket apiece for Beardman, Callum Vidler, Rafael MacMillan and Tom Campbell. All of the bowlers chipped in and did their job with Straker being the stand out.

So, Australia wins by 1 wicket with 5 balls to spare and book a summit clash with India on Sunday. Stay tuned for the presentations.
MacMillan holds his nerves and gets lucky as well. The ball gets past the stumps and goes away to the fine leg fence for a boundary. Pakistan are crest fallen. It will be India vs Australia in the final.
49.1 M Zeeshan to R MacMillan
4 FOUR!!! Fine leg comes up, MacMillan gets an inside edge past the leg stump, runs away past short fine leg and runs away to the fence. The Pakistani players are on the ground. They can't believe it. Ecstasy for Australia. MacMillan and Vilder hug each other. They have taken their nation to the final by beating Pakistan by a single wicket. Incredible scenes here in Benoni. Coming to the ball, this was a length delivery outside off, MacMillan looks to defend it with an angled bat but gets an inside edge past the stumps. It runs away past short fine leg and trickles away to the ropes as the fielder dives full-length but fails to stop it. With this, Australia qualify for the final and will face India.
Right, we are going to the last over folks. Australia needs 3 to win off 6 balls. They have only one wicket in hand. 2 runs will take us to a super over. Pakistan are behind the over rate. They will have to bring one fielder inside the circle. MacMillan on strike. Here's Zeeshan with the final over.
